  Uterine Artery Embolization--has anyone had that done?

  (sorry guys, it's a girl thing...) has anyone had this procedure done?

  it's a treatment for uterine fibroids.

  i'm scheduled for it, and wondered if anyone had any first hand experience with it.

  Witness suicide in Anderson, Indiana???

  check out this sad, sad obituary and picture in my local newspaper.

  the body was found after 5 days in the river by a fisherman.

  police are 'investigating' but no headlines about homicide.

  Husband forgot our anniversary....again

  i'm wide awake at 2 a.m., with my mind ruminating on stuff i should leave alone.

  i wish i could turn it off in the night, when worries spin out of control.

  let me list my concerns: this was my 26th wedding anniversary, and my husband forgot it apparently.

  hey, nurses: the march issue of nursing 2007 has an article entitled "can a bloodless surgery program work in the trauma setting?

  i'm tempted to write a 'comment from readers' but not sure what to say.

  anyone else read it?

  My funny Memorial story...

  i think i told this story last year on here, but it's worth repeating for a good laugh.. my last memorial i attended was with my daughter, who was about 5. i took her and went to please my parents, of course.

  my daughter went to church with me regularly and so i had done the intense 'instructions' enroute about not partaking, etc.

  i got more and more tense as we arrived and got out of the car.

  Diabetic dog

  my daughter's 7 year old miniature pinscher is a newly diagnosed diabetic.

  she and her husband (they are young newlyweds) were having a rough time trying to care for her, so the dog is now living with me while i try to get her regulated.

  does anyone else here have an insulin dependant pet?

  Putting my cat to sleep tomorrow

  tomorrow at 2 p.m. central daylight time (same as eastern) i have the appointment to put her down.

  A flyer about cults...

  i went to a flea market yesterday and found a pamphlet that someone had left.

  it's a very homemade one--like it's a bunch of clippings pasted to a piece of paper (with some handwritten comments scattered throughout), then copied.

  it says "news and views in the world of the cults" .

  I got a letter this week from an old friend

  i'm musing over a letter i received in the mail, from by childhood best friend.

  it's a brief newsy letter asking about my parents, recalling some fun times, and recounting her happy 23 years of pioneering.

  her 14 year old son stays busy with preparing for meetings..... we were best friends from age 6 or 8. we spent every weekend at each others' houses.
