what suggestions can you offer as to how to find a girl i knew as a child.
i know she married at least twice and do not know any name other than her maiden name.
she was in wisconsin about 20 years ago but can't say since.
If she has brothers, try searching for them in and around Wisconsin (Facebook, whitepages.com, spokeo.com, classmates.com, google, etc)
Ask other classmates if they know anyone who may have kept contact.
Maybe contact your school and see if she contacted anyone there for future reunions??

there's a site called spokeo.com that's a new online usa phone book w/personal information: everything from pics you've posted on fb or web, approx credit score, home value, income, age.
you can remove yourself by searching for yourself on their site to find the url of your page, then go to the bottom of the page and click on the privacy button to remove yourself.. i checked it out.
they have a picture of my home.

They say I'm married, but I'm not.
They also say R****** is my son, he's not. He's my brother.
And the map they use is more accurate than mapquest. They actually got my house almost correct. They point to my neighbor.

as most of you know, my husband and i da's ourselves almost 8 months ago.
the communication with my family stayed pretty normal.
they would call once in a while and text me.
I think it's always a tough call - dealing with JW family.
Nice that you have non-JW family (and hopefully other good friends) to create memories with. Cherish those relationships. Make them your 'family of choice'.
I'm having my own troubles with JW family members so no good advice for you except to foster other relationships.

If you do nothing else today, print out two copies of the 'Child Custody Packet' - one for yourself and one for your attorney. Read it. Know it. Make marginal notes in your copy (as a former JW, you *know* how to mark up an article~!!)

It's also important to remember that, as 'clarity' alluded above, when the JWs talk about apostacy or badness, it is usually from the reference point of their own closed society. And they suppose that *everyone* who leaves their fold, does so because they want to engage in bad things. They will believe this even if there is no evidence of wrong-doing.
Also, be aware that the JWs themselves will view the above quotes as 'old light' since the info was published more than 20 years ago (in this case, more than 50 years), but the harsh *attitudes* that were put in writing back then still exist in the cong. The words themselves may have softened a bit in recent years but the concept and attitude still strongly exists.
