Sounds like some of the multiple-alias personalities we've had here on JWD/JWN.

Is that podium thing unique to JW's? Do they build them?
by InterestedOne ini was wondering about that half-table/half-podium thing that jw's use on the platform.
is that unique to jw's & do they build them, like shakers had their own furniture?.

Who is the witness-run podium company in the UK & in the US? Who is the witness-run sound company?
And the carpet company.
And the chair company.
And the janitorial supply company.

PBS SUBJECT SETH THOMAS DIES AT 30
by Gayle inat least with the wts changing their ridiculous doctrine of "no organ transplants" policy, seth thomas was given a chance for additional life, wife and child.
there were at least 15 years with the wts ban on organ transplants.
how many died or had long-term unnecessary sufferings?

when you were in, could you imagine yourself in the new system?
by breathing ini never could, like some others described, i could never ever see myself there, i just couldnt imagine it at all,.
i wonder if that was a sign that deep down i didnt believe it?.

I could imagine it, but any questions I had were answered with: "Just worry about getting there. We'll learn the specifics afterwards."
Here are some old posts with fantasy (??) answers to "What would it *really* be like in the New System?":

sitting on gym toilet
tmi but thanks for sharing
It's 10:40am. I've been up for about 2 hours. Had a cup of coffee and slice of banana bread on my patio and watched the golfers play. Classic 70's music playing in the background. 65 nice degrees and sunny. Should reach 72 today.
Now about to get ready to meet some friends for Sushi lunch up the coast toward SantaBarbara to celebrate someone's birthday. Just a few of us long-term friends. One of whom is also an ex-jw from my former cong.
Life is sweet. And I LOVE my Sundays now.

Highdose in a bit of a mess... but in a good cause
by highdose ini am once again trying really hard to come off the pills ( anti depressants) i've been off them for 3 days, am having the most awful withdrawal symtoms.
inculding terrible vertigo!
i just looked up the offical symtoms of coming off my brand of meds... this is the list.

Well, with a name like 'High Dose' ... (sorry. j/k)
Seriously, though, your doc really should be involved. Different drugs require a different 'taper-down/off regimine'. For you healthy and safety and for the safety and sanity of those around you, you really should let a qualified physician guide you off any long-term drug. Especially one with such an extensive list of withdrawal symptoms.
It's not just a comfort or stick-it-out issue. It really could be a safety issue. But only a qualified doctor can tell you what to do.

Is it wrong to teach your kids how to think?
by garyneal inokay, i know better than to ask this group that question.
critical thinking helps people to see propaganda as it is being presented and enables people to see through lies and other bs disguised as 'truth.'.
yet, my wife told me tonight that she did not want me to teach our child how to think.

She might want to ask the teacher or principal what they think about that. Do the educators feel that it is their sole responsibility to teach children everything they need to know or do they think the children would benefit from a cooperative situation where the parents area actually involved in their childrens' education? Seems to me that teachers *want* the parents to work with the kids at home

When you order online or via mail, do they still send local pioneers/elders to your home to deliver them or do they actually ship through the mail?
