i was reviewing some ex-scientology sites and on one site they have a "morgue.
" in it, they give the names of all the people who have died due to scientology.
it made me think that it would be neat if we could set up a "in memorium" board for all those who have lost their life due to jws screwed up policies - blood, organ failure, suicide, etc.
I saw a list like this about a year ago.
Not sure if it was actually on this board or if it was a post that provided a link there.
I like the idea. Alot.

I was reading a few old threads and saw one of your postings. The date caught my eye.
I was going to start a thread to wish you Happy Anniversary - but you had already done it...!!
LOVE having you on this board and I'm sure that so many of us stand ready to help in whatever small way we can as you 'graduate' beyond the org.
A Very Happy Apostanniversary to You !!
No posts since this morning. You must be partying hard today...!!
Hugs.

notice how #29 sounds a little apostatish?
shame on them for slipping that one in.. remembering when .
.. 1. when there was a grading system on the written review to indicate how well you did.. 2. when the circuit overseer considered the "continue in the things learned.".
I think the interpretation of #29 is in the mind of the reader.
*We* read it with wide eyes because we are more conscious of the change than the average JW.
I think the average JW just reads thru it sort of like 'Remember when you were 6 and stopped to pick flowers for your mom so she would know you loved her?' 'Remember how brightly the sun shone on the day of your wedding?' 'Remember when you got baptized as a symbol of your dedication to Jehovah?'
Of course, my mind went to the change in baptism vows, too.
Thanks for sharing.

i just saw the ukiah thread, and it made me wonder about anyone who might be from one of my old congregations.
I've visited SB congs a few times back in the 80's.
Good friend of mine went to the Spanish cong on a street who's name I keep forgetting.
Also the Hall in Carpinteria, off the 101/Ventura Fwy.
My old roommate went to one of the SB congregations - San Roque.

i posted this in another thread but it is more relevant here.
i worked for jw doing back breaking work for a while only to be told by another jw that he was ripping me of - he was paying me half the going rate.
i was only 17 and naive didn't know anything about the world of work.
The only regret I have is not turning them into their body of elders.
I'm pretty sure the Labor Board would have been interested in this story.

damm!
my good friend who became an elder just recently wants to invite me for service because he wants to talk about a few things with me.
well ... you have not commented in months!
damm - i think they caught me sleepin at the meeting this week... I could hear them now ... "damm, what an example x is setting after being in bethel and en elder for so long." ahh bite me!!!
Perfect!
You could use this to your advantage. Use it as proof of some physical problem. Fatigue / Depression / Lack of Concentration / Insomnia.
You don't want to be a distraction to other in attendance and you need to take care of yourself before it gets worse.
Now's your chance to bow out/fade gracefully.

does anybody know what the procedure is if you want to nullify your baptism?.
has anybody successfully nullified their baptism?.
i'd love to hear from you how you did it.. thanks,.
And then there's this little gem of a job done by Kwintestal (WHERE have they been, anyway??):
DF Announcement is made: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/9/96760/1.ashx
A plan is made to appeal: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/9/96910/1.ashx
The outcome: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/97658/1.ashx
Those are the two most comprehensive cases that I can recall. Good stuff!
