i take public transit to & from work.
i walk past a "historic" theater on a daily basis.
as i walked past this theater, there were about 8-10 j-dubs waiting for the theater to open so they can get the "best" seats.
I might consider joining in the innaugural vigil next year.

to those that remember me i came here to tell you something.what i want to tell you is that you guys were right.
i have been researching the wt since i briefly posted on this board and i have come to the conclusion that the wt is nothing but a man made organization.
i have been researching the wt non stop since december.
Hi LeftBehind -
Nice to hear from you again. Such an interesting few months you've endured (??). I remember my first few weeks on the net. I had been inactive for over 13 years - I think 'walk-away believer' describes my mentality for those 13 years. Once I decided to search Jehovah's Witnesses on the internet, ohhhh what information I found. Most of it was verifiable. Those first few weeks I barely slept. I remember being up until 4:30am. Sleep for an hour and then up an at work by 6:30am. It became an obsession.
That obsession has died down - but I still love coming here. You've probably found that this is a very supportive - and responsive !! - group.
With regards to Fading - There have been some threads on JWD that give some pretty specific advise on successful fading. It can be done. If I come across any of those threads I'll post them to you. The drawback is that when fading/faded, you still somewhat look over your shoulder. Once DF/DA is official, there is no guess work. You can be fully out and proud.
I look forward to hearing more from you as you create the life you want to live. It's an exciting opportunity. Enjoy the journey!

.
one year ago, i attended the memorial, and that led to a bible study which i really didn't want to have, but felt kind of pressured since the elders were here and insisted was for my own good.. so, when they invite you to the memorial, it's not really for jesus, but to get you to go to more meetings.. the perfect trap, once a year...... .
they won't get me this year..............
xjwms wrote: a bible study? I would agree to a wt study......if I could use Blondies review..........LOL that would get em thinking.
Oh, yes! And would you please record it for us??

sorry for the long file, is there anyone that can clean this up a bit, the quality is actually pretty good considering the mic was hidden and i was in a big room.
Is the appeal hearing scheduled yet?

ha ha i was laughing just now, had a strange memory.. when stepdad was away and/or when mum was playing the male role of jw head of household she used to cover her head.
anything...a hat, a scarf, tea towel (no lie!!)..
this was i think from the reasoning book or something, but yeh...covering her head out of respect for jehovah.
I remember a couple of times a cloth diaper was used.
'Jehovah understands that this is all we have. We just have to make do.'
Sheesh. I had <finally!> completely forgotten about those odd moments. Thanks for the embarrassing reminder...!

introducing the new toe turban:
just got my ingrown toe nail removed for the second time in my life.
hopefully it doesn't come back this time.. -me
LOL
That was funny!!
Sorry about the oww-wee...
-Aude.
well the memorial is tmrw night and time is running out to give out invitations.
(au time that is...) .
last night my mother asked me if i've heard from any of my old jw friends.
No invite for me.
My unbaptized, inactive brother and his inactive wife are going.
I moved a few months ago, so anyone going to my [old] home to leave an invitation will get to meet the new non-english-speaking residents.
*sigh* Guess it will be a good night for pedicure.

ok so its a bit early in the year but hopefully this thread can be kept alive with nominations through the year.
1st nomination goes to the guy who videoed the elders at the door telling him that he had been disfellowshipped.
sticking a video camera in their faces and asking awkward questions took balls and he certainly made them look like idiots.
I got nominated!!! YAY:::runs off to prepare acceptance speech:::
Richie - We don't see you much lately... Whatcha been up to?? -Aude.
i saw a car today that had a bumper sticker that said "i ".
considering what is taught by the wts about jesus would you have ever put a bumper sticker on your car with this message?.
ot........
I knew a witness who had vanity plates (DMV registered license plates) that read:
I JAH
Even as a witness I rolled my eyes ...
