  regardless of how you feel about jehovah's organization--the true religion, one thing for sure, you will not escape the almighty jehovah's judgement right along with satan the devil and his destructive organization.

  how will you save yourself and those who follow you...?

  it's ashame that your energies could not be put to a more positive use.

  As to getting together on anything, you and many others who venture in here seem to think that we "apostates" are all alike in some ways. We are not. The only thing the forum members here have in common (including yourself) is that we have all been affected in some way by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, and/or the congregants who claim to be Jehovah's Witnesses.

  That's the one common thread here, which is why the Web site is called "Jehovah's Witness Discussion Forum", instead of "The Right Way to Serve God Discussion Forum" or the "How to Make Things Right Using jw's Idea of God's Way Discussion Forum".

  For some reason I got a chuckle out of this!!

  It's true though. I remember even back in the 70's someone was telling me about groups of ex-witnesses and was making jokes about them trying to start up their own religion. One where they could 'be worldly and still like serve Jehovah'. Like he'd accept their prayers...!!

  Most witnesses just seem to assume that all ex-jws are identical. They just don't understand the concept of I-N-D-I-V-I-D-U-A-L-I-T-Y and freedom of thought and freedom of expression. They further seem to believe that we all have the same belief system - especially if we associate with each other - because that's all they know. To only associate with like-controlled minded puppets people.

  Upcoming Birthday - Suggestions Wanted

  i'm looking for a few good suggestions for my upcoming birthday.. it's 3 months away but not too early to start planning...!!.

  since i turned 40, i've tried to do something special - and a bit daring - for myself.

  this year i don't know what i want to do... .

  Since I turned 40, I've tried to do something special - and a bit daring - for myself. This year I don't know what I want to do...

  Here's some that I've done so far:

  40 - Nice Date. Sushi at a beach restaurant. I had an Uni Shooter. (OK - not so daring now, but sushi was very new to me back then. And an Uni Shooter - That's Daring - with a capital 'D'!! Once was enough for this girl. But I did it. <- my smug pekid face after the shooter.)

  41 - Planned a weekend at a spa. Got cancelled when I broke up with the guy I was dating. (Not very daring - but extremely indulgent...)

  42 - Changed careers. Brand new career in a totally different industry. It was a new beginning. The 'gift' was the challenge and finally starting to fund my retirement.

  43 - I spent a week with my brother while he was on a business trip - we'd never spent time together as adults.

  44 - Sky Diving. Accelerated Free Fall.

  45 - Took a motorcycle rider's safety class and then bought a (used) motorcycle.

  46 - ??????

  So - Anyone have any ideas for me?? Any and all suggestions are welcome.

  The "study" went GREAT, my mom NOW has questions!!!!

  ok, as some of you know, i was suppose to have a "study" with my mom and an elders wife yesterday.

  well, the elders wife couldn't make it because "something came up".

  i guess it was more important than my salvation.. anyway, i still went to my parents house.

  The 607 keeps being suggested so I think I will get that book and research it. Though, I need to keep it as simple. And when it comes to numbers, dates and math, I myself tend to get lost.

  I haven't tested this method but how do think this would go over:

  Ask one or Jewish friends/acquaintences when Jerusalem was destroyed (both times). If they don't know right away, they should find the 'Jewish Account' pretty quickly - like with just a phone call to their rabbi. (Heck, you could even call a rabbi yourself. But 'asking acquaintences' sets up your alibi that you were witnessing to friends and they corrected your false date.)

  Then visit the library and ask a librarian to help you find the answer to the same question. Have the librarian make a copy for you.

  Present that simple discrepancy (JWs have different dates than Jewish and Secular history) to your mom and let HER do the research and explain it to you.

  Let her do the leg work. She may find more info than just what you've prepared for her...

  While she's researching and calculating dates, you could be doing the same with Alleymom's and AlanF's and others notes.

  This was good news. I look forward to reading about the next session.
