  hey guys.... i'm a big gamer.

  i play a game called world of warcraft.. i know of 2 other people on my server that are jw.. one is a fader and the other a regular at the meetings.. i actually discovered them by accident after chatting with them during christmas time.. just wondering if anyone else here plays on wow.. confucious

  I play on Thunderlord as well. Im in no contest. My wife plays as well, she was in Nox Necis but X-ferred to No Contest when they left ;-)

  LONDON (Reuters) - A British woman has been ordered by police to take down a sign on her garden gate which read "Our dogs are fed on Jehovah's Witnesses."

  Pensioner Janet Grove, who owns a terrier puppy called Rabbit, insisted the sign was a gentle joke to discourage callers at her front door.

  Her late husband put the sign up more than 30 years ago when members of the church called at their house on Christmas Day.

  But police were forced to act after receiving a complaint.

  "We were informed by a member of the public who found the sign to be distressing, offensive and inappropriate," a police spokesman said. "Officers attended the address and the sign was voluntarily taken down."

  when jw's say they are no part of this world, i have to wonder if they know just how true that is.

  if they could see themselves as others see them, carrying the scripture to the ridiculous extremes that some do.

  for example, i had a recent conversation with (left un-named fro security reasons) elderly relatives.

  The good thing about all the convention invitations...

  .... is that, at any time in the future, if you happen to be talking to a jw who doesn't know your history, you can make believe that you learned all this stuff at that one convention day you attended because somebody gave you an invitation to a district convention.... 'yeah i tell you, i mean you people seem polite and all, but i can't stand that they spent the whole day telling the children that they can't go to college, and that they kept saying over and over that the end is near....'

  Another good thing about all the convention invitations: The society just wasted a buttload of money to print pamphlets that just get thrown in the garbage anyways

  Got the call today

  well, after fading for 5 1/2 years, keeping a low profile, hoping to keep the lines of communication open with the ones we loved for the last three decades, i got the phone call today.

  they let me know it was two elders on the phone and they needed to talk with me about a judicial matter in that some serious accusations were made against me.. background: in march of 2005 i was contacted via email by a "sister" we have known for 25 years who we have always felt very close to.

  i'll call her julie, because that's her real name.

  Hmm... you know if you have WTS CD look up voting. I remember an article that flat out said that voting is a conscious matter, etc. I remember my mothing in law was flat out amazed when I told her I was going to vote and there is nothing the WTS can do 8-).

  I'de look it up but I got rid of it in an effort to keep my wife from being fed her regular dose of poison.

  i don't know how many times i have shown my wife from the societies own literature the fallacies of the past but it still doesn't convince her.

  just just shrugs it off and says "at least they were humble enough to admit they are wrong.".

  it blows me away cuz i reason and say "what if they are wrong now, if we questioned it we would be expelled.." .

  upside/down LOL you know I always liked your posts, and yet I didn't know we were in the same cong. I'm 99% sure you know me if you were in AV with GB and Solomon. Hell i bet we know a ton of the same ppl.
