Bankruptcy

wouldn't it be nice if eventually it would happen to the watchtower.

I fail to see how they can file bankruptcy when they still have tangible assets. On top of that if they do file bankruptcy, I don't see why the proceedings cant continue and the money from the liquidation of the church cant be used to pay restitution to the victims....

when i was a teenager, and really trying hard to be a "super witness" i remember thinking that if all the wicked people were destroyed, how would this change our everyday life.. what happends to the people that supply electricity, water, garbage collection, gas, fuel for cars, mechanics, farmers, cattle herders, etc.... how would we survive?

if armafoggeten happened in the winter would those in colder climates die?.

i you were on some sort of medical equipment that required electricity, would you die if there is no one a run to work in the electrical plant?.

I was reading a very funny article that asked "What about all the cows" ? It went onto ask what would happen to all the cows that would need milking the day after armageddon.........................well I dont know how to milk a cow, can you?

Yeah you couldnt milk cows because the bible says god will bring about "utter destruction!!!"

computer careers

i made another thread like this, but it was specific to one career.

personal experience; main point of thread in the last paragraph.. .

i'm 21, attending a community college for a networking degree.

I have been a network engineer for 8 years. I remember my first job well, it was for a small company that didn't have a huge budget for IT. They tend to overlook lack of experience in the field for someone that is able to learn quickly. I'm not saying don't submit your resume to the big companies, but your best bet with the way the IT job market is right now is to find a small company that is hiring. You can do a couple things.... look in the newspapers like I did or monster.com.

The other great route would be to find an IT staffing agency in your area and meet with them. They can be a great help to someone looking to start a new career.

But in all honesty... the real money in this industry is owning your own consulting firm. I started that in 2002 and have never regretted it.

Also too, having a degree is great and all, but it is really worthless compared to hands on experience. I have no college degree and only 1 active certification and it has never been a problem.

Did You Do Business With JWs Thinking They Would Obviously Be More Honest?

i know many people did business with me because i was an elder and had to be honest.

i never cheated anybody anyway because it's simply not right but i know a lot of witnesses that were "screwed" by other witnesses......what about you??

I will never do business with a witness again. I got burned out of 4 grand, 1/2 of which was spend on materials for this brothers clients by me. The work was performed well and his clients were happy with my work... but he decided not to pay me. I really feel like slashing the brothers tires because it has put me in a very hard spot. Not to mention his body of elders didnt care since i was inactive. oh well..

i just picked up this sci-fi movie from the groovie 70's and watched it.

i remember that it kind of disturbed me when i was a kid.

it was about a closed society that automatically kills everyone at age 30, so they can be replaced by a new baby.

Hah I remember my dad bringing that movie home when I was like 14 or 15.. I loved it cuz none of us knew there were bewbies in it! Yeah elder dad threw that movie out right away...
