i guess it is for some of the rabble that the us call "troops" though.. of course the real problem is not just those on the ground that have committed the latest attrocity.

it is the chain of command that tried to cover it up and all the way up to the president who sanctions bombing of civilian targets with nothing more than rumour for "intelligence".. from now on america, you are on your own.

Ease up my fish and chips munching friend. Why don't we wait until guilt is proven before we hang these heroic men out to dry. If the proof is there, then string 'em up...until then I chose to side with a very honorable and moral military branch.

i have been reading a book my hubby recommended to me- man's search for meaning - by viktor frankl.

very good book.

he is a survivor of nazi concentration camps and it's not just another grisly tale of horrors of cc life.

I agree with this completely....been out of the borg for about....wow I guess like 10 months now. Moved from Pennsylvania to escape the pain of being so near to my-once-very-tight-knit family, and being able to have nothing to do with them. Came to California to be closer to my Aunt and my Dad.

Went from PA to beautiful Orange County....beaches and sun and anything you could want at 22 years old....but for months I felt nothing! They would take me to great restaurants and beautiful beaches and even being in the outdoors which is my passion brought me nothing....I felt empty. That's the only way I can describe it. Finally one day it clicked. I was hiking in beautiful canyons by the ocean and saw the most amazing sunset....something just happened, and I allowed myself to enjoy it.

Fortunately, things have been getting better ever since.

i was in class and by these two women (one who was a christian and the other student i am unsure of).

i asked them, randomly, "do you know much about jehovah's witnesses?

" -- they both said "yes" and the non-christian said "i had a jw friend and he really hated it... he disaproved of what they taught" -- i started to talk about shunning and disfellowship.

Creepy JW Music for Kids!

maybe this has already been posted or you're familiar with it but i just discovered this on itunes.

it's being sold on itunes.. the subject matter alone is enough to make you want to barf but get a load of the music and singing talent on this little gem.

a couple of the tracks landed in an imix of the worst music on itunes.

WOW! Actually reminds me of my stepfather....loved to whip out his guitar and play a few Melodies and some of his own making. Have to say he wasn't as tone-deaf as this guy, and he could play the guitar well. Anyone else find it wierd to hear "Jehovah" mentioned by someone else...has been a long time since I've heard "the name".

What was your Favourite/Worse time and day to go in the Field Service?

i never went out in the field service on the week-ends.

i did't want to meet too many people afterall !!!.

so, i went out in the field service only during the week, and only in the morning, knowing that not many would answer, because people were either at school, or at work.

When I was a good dub, service was always fun...even aux. pioneering in the summer...Unless you worked with Bro. B.- 70 years old who never bought a new suit since the 70's...cheap, arrogant, put-your-foot-in-the-door-if-they're-not interested type. I'm sure everyone else has experienced one just like him.

But the more I doubted, the harder it became..I really realized I was bothering a majority of people....and how ridiculous the QandA of bookstudies were to intelligent adults...

The best thought was working with my former Boss (Who was an elder, my boss and my landlord...talk about complete JW control) and his equally uptight wife.....me and my younger sis Janelle (who wasn't doing well at the time, but thank god has turned her life around...dragged her "worldly" husband in, and now shuns me) would work with them...Anyway they always had this "call" 30 minutes away...we all knew it was a summer home, but it never stopped them from stopping there, even in the middle of winter. Then it was breakfast and the end of the day....yeah they were real sincere, huh? =)
