  i posted this same topic earlier but it didn't go through so i have to do it again.. i didn't think my ten questions would cause a person(youknow) to be attacked because his opinions was different from the majority.. alanf.

  i don't know you personally and i don't know what you have gone through in your life, but i can say from what i have seen in here you have a lot of angry,hate, and other issues inside you that needs to be dealt with.

  you oblivious have some sort of history with this man.

  AlanF. I don't know you personally and I don't know what you have gone through in your life, but I can say from what I have seen in here you have a lot of angry,hate, and other issues inside you that needs to be dealt with. You oblivious have some sort of history with this man.
  You may want to seek professional help. I say this because you are unable to accept that there are those in life who will disagree with you. You don't seem to want to accept anyones opinion other than your own. The computer world is not the place to deal with your angry. If this person doesn't want to answer your questions leave him be. All of this insulting doesn't prove anything except you don't know how to deal with your feelings. It also makes you "appear" to be a person who cannot accpet anyone realities besides your own. Which is not realitiy. There's a whole world out here that's going to disagree with you, it's not wrong it's just a fact of life. You also have a large following in here. They agree with everything you say because of one reason or the other. Instead of calming you down they praise you for your attacks. I don't know why. In the department we call it "kissing ass" which is what we see from rookie cops. Does the praise make you feel better? I hope not see it for what it is.
  Laugh at yourslef sometimes enjoy life, don't take it so seriously. You only have one life to live, and it's the only one you have. And let's be honest no matter what he say's to you , you will not agree with him right? so why waste time with it.

  Youknow. You and Alan are very educated men, one has to wonder why the two of you cannot agree to disagree. You also know which buttons will agitate him. Since the two of you cannot get alone why don't the two of you keep away from eachother? This seems more of a love hate relationship. You cannot stand eachother but you can't keep away from eachother. You appear to more in control of your emotions. This is good, I noticed you didn't attack anyone that great. But if you can't make peace with him what's the point in fighting with him? You don't have to respons to his threads do you? You know if you do , you will upset him, is that what you want? Where does that get you?

  I know the both of you and some of your friends will attack me. That's cool I am a outsider. I am only speaking from what I saw in two days. And it's also a part of life. I am not tryng to speak like your mothers just trying to be a friend. I hope you understand my words. Don't become offened by what I said.

  Everyone is speaking for God. Let God speak for himself.Maybe it's time we listen to him and stop trying to guess at what he thinks. Religion brings out the worst in people.

  I have to go and pick up some books at barns & Noble. I want to investigate things on my own. I don't believe anyone knows everything 100%. Thanks for the information I received from the two of you. It's very deep.

  in all probability, the bible that you have does not have the name jehovah in it, anywhere.

  we too have a fraternity, a brotherhood, gods family is what we are, and if anyone dishonors the congregation by conduct unbecoming a minister of god, shunning, or disfellowshipping as we call it, is gods means to deal with such ones.. q 7: how can a person isolate themselves if you chose to knock on peoples doors outside your religion?

  Enjoy your life, go find a nice agnostic guy to be interested in. All this bible stuff will drive you nuts and can be argued to no end. Get out while you still have your sanity.

  That's a great idea. It shows your motives are not self serving but for the welfare of those can be hurt.

  People keep this in mind, most protest end in violent rioting so please be safe and organized if you feel this is something you must do.

  How about a huge Science room, Large kitchen with windows all around allowing the sun to shine in, out door patio with a dinning room touch (love eating outdoors), sitting area where I can escape from the world for a few hours a week,old middle eastern style bed room, bathroom big enough to put a huge screen television in side (I take long bubble baths) ...LOL...and my own personal national geographic area. LOL...Yeah I know it's crazy. I am the odd ball in the family.

  well, it's sunday morning and i'm sitting here posting on this board when i hear 2 car doors slam.

  i peek out the window and see 2 elders walking up to the door.

  since i'm still in my jammies, i told my husband to go get the door while i snuck into the bedroom.

  From the standpoint of a Baptist such a person would be a back-slider or an apostate. From our perspective, it is not possible to be an apostate unless you originally were in the truth. We don't believe Baptists know the truth about God, so from God's standpoint, it's not possible for them to become apostates until first they know the truth. Jesus referred to Satan as one who "did not stand fast in the truth." Meaning basically that the Devil was an apostate angel---the first of many such---because he didn't stay in the truth. But, the point is that he was originally in the truth, as we say.

  I am not understanding the word "the truth" I sense you all are talking as if the word has a speacial meaning to it when it comes to Jehovah's Witnesses.

  Let me say this before I comment on your others explanations.

  I don't know who you are but, you certanialy have a way with words and explaning things. I am not in any fashion going to say what you are saying is wrong because I don't know god I guess the way everyone here does. You and the one named "Alanf" appear to be very educated men, yet the two of you are butting heads. This is normally seen between Phd's. Are you by any chance a religious professor, an expert in religion or something.? Not to sound tacky but I have never in my whole life gone this deep into religion before I have an odd strange feeling that i am about to learn things i would better off not knowing. Maybe I should back off and take the advice of the others and leave this man to himself. I feel if i go to much deeper things are going to change and i am not sure that is what i want..

  You know the way you explained everything concerning cops and those in the churches I suppose I can understand that. We do not want bad cops in the mix with as they will make all good cops look bad. FLOWER yesterday was an example of that. She didn't judge us all but her point was made.

  Tell me; are you saying Jehovah's Witnesses are the only ones with god's favor? if yes; why would he chose them and not others. There's good in all religions. Just as you have said there are good Jehovah's Witnesses and bad ones, good cops and bad ones. Well what about the rest of the world's religions, Could not the same be said of them?

  Thinker: I wrote those points you made in the other thread down but after reading this I don't know if I am going to ask them as I have already said, I think I should back away.

  I am printing this information out that was given today by you know. I am so curious now but afriad to know (if that makes sense) but I have to read it for myself in the Bible. I did notice that Alanf made some goood points too but he gave scriptures. You know do you have any more beides the one you gave at the top? I am not going to pretend that I know where in the Bible to find these things I have a bible but never really read it so i would need some help in this. And I am going to look at the definitions on those names.

  I appreciate that. And I know first hand what you are talking when it comes to corruption in our organization. I have seen it. At the same time there are many of us who will report on bad cops. We may not all be good but there are many of us who are. Look at our brothers in blue in NY durning the world trade center terrorist attack. They are perfect examples of good cops.

  Let's not fight I don't want to cause fighting between anyone that's not my intentions.

  If you did take this relationship further it would mean big trouble for him. If you took it all the way and you wanted to become a JW you would have to kiss your job good-bye.

  No we didn't do anything sexual, I am sure that's what you mean. I can respect anyones beliefs about his body. As a matter of fact that's one of the things that I like about him. I don't meet many (if any) men who have this much respect for their bodies it seems to be something we expect from women not men.

  my teenage son approached my husband and me yesterday to inform us that he wants to get baptized at the summer convention.

  ugh!.

  he hasn't shown an interest in witness things for several months until a cousin from up north came to visit and took him out in service all day.
