I am a Registered Nurse, and I work the Med-Surg floor. I love my job, hate the short staffing we sometimes have. Seems like we go from low census, called off, to being full and under staffed overnight. Oh well. I was a JW for twenty years, faded, went to school, got my RN. Wish I would have never answered the door. My daughter married a JW, left him, and is in a horrible, ugly custody battle. They can be evil. Any advice on child custody??

i'm a licenced practical nurse (working on my rn degree), and i work as a cosmetic dermatology specialist.
i see about 10 to 16 patients per day, doing things like laser hair removal treatments, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, skin care consultations, etc.

I gave Blood today...

After working the ER for many years, the nursing profession thanks all that give blood
As a RN at a busy hospital, I adminsiter several transfusions weekly, and the blood you give does save lives. Thank you. I remember the feelings I had when I transfused someone for the first time. It was like I was scared the blood was going to escape from the bag and attack me or something. Messed up. Anyway, you did a good thing.

HALL CLEANING
by buffalosrfree ini found it fascinating that when 0ur book study was assigned the cleaning of the hall it always seemed to fall to two familites, mine and the book study conductors.
despite all the others in the book study it was me and my family that cleaned the hall on meeting days and on saturdays.
i often wondered what gives, one other in the congregation a ministerial servant and his family almost never showed up.

My husband was the book study conductor, and we had the book study in our home. Every Tuesday night fifteen to twenty people would come to worship. Consequently, I spent many hours making sure the house was spotless before hand, and then, after they left, cleaning up the mess from tracking in, utilizing bathroom facilities, etc. Of course, we had to do our weekly assignment each month of cleaning the KH, too. There was always one sister who would almost always show up to help. I remember one week in particular, I had a huge electical box fall on my head while I was doing some wiring in my barn, I had a concussion; called several sisters to beg them to come clean. Yep, I was the only one that showed up. I cleaned the hall, crying, then went home and went to bed. Missed the meeting that night!!

Those of us going through child custody battles are dependent upon our attorneys. Most "worldy" attorneys have good intentions of helping us, but have no idea how JW's think, or how to handle them. When talking with your attorney, you try to explain to them how JW's answer questions with a question, how they lie, with out actually "lying", you say "Don't let them talk!" You try to explain how cunning they can be, you tell them to only ask yes or no questions, but our attorneys don't get it, until afterwards! If you can come up with anything to help us, I know I would be forever grateful. Loving parents are being torn from their children; their children are being taught they will die if they love the parent who is no longer a witness. JW's represent themselves to be loving parents, their love is conditional and abusive. They only love them if they remain in "the truth". The parent who often loses the children is the one who has already lost everything; so called friends, the only friends they have ever known, their trust, their self esteem, their families, they all turned against them when they got the courage to leave the org., banded together with their facade of fresh scrubbed, smiling faces, to destroy the apostate . They attack them morally, try to ruin their reputation, often accusing them of mental instability, manipulating the court into believing vicious untruths. In reality the only "crime" commited by these parents is they left the org, and they love their children. Thank you.

Anyone have twins?

my daughter's are pretty close, but not like they once were.
if i give a compliment to one, the other one feels she needs to bring up something about herself.

My daughter has triplets. The two boys are "identical twins", and the girl just squeezed in there. They are each one unique. Even though the boys are identical, one is quiet and the other is a clown. Complete opposites.

In true JW style, my 18 year old cat bears the biblical name of Hoglah. My Yorkie is named Penelope, but my hubby has shortened it to PeePee, he says it is more fitting!!

I too am waiting with great anticipation!! I leave tomorrow for my daughters' ; we go to court Tues. for our first of what I am sure is going to be a long, drawn out custody battle.
