  What my week brought me

  i don't usuallypost about personal issues; i am still fading; besides, i was raised in a family that would say we were doing well even if our house was burning down.. for the last month i have been stressing about seeing family from the west coast; my brother, out for many years but now back in and gung ho, is bringing his son and daughter out.

  family reunion, of sorts.

  i wanted to host, but then i realized that my disfellowshipped daughter would not be included.

  i always wondered how they had the balls to do it.

  and especially if they seemed happy with no remorse, and were able to celebrate holidays and live "normal" lives.

  i remember wishing, in my early twenties, that i had the strength to do that.

  JW at the door...thanks for the tips...

  this morning we had a fleet of jw in the neighborhood and they came a knockin...my husband answered the door, (as they would have recognized me..he is "wordly").

  we used some of the tips off of the "how to get rid of a jw thread" he kept asking them if they were with the jehovahs and if they were a jehovah, they kept correcting him bless their souls and he kept doing it.

  then, when they tried to place the mags he said, "first can i get your address?

  Hey do you know who it was cause if you do you can look up her address and your hubby can go to her house sat evening and try to push some religion on her. She would freak out thinking he is psycho and be afraid he was stalking her. That would be great. One less preacher out there. She probably would never go out again.

  Need to help Brother

  i am trying to figure out a way to help my brother get past the guilt of being a jw.

  we were raised jw, pretty much your classic jw life and childhood.

  i got df'd about 3 years ago, tried for a while to get reinstated in the meantime i did alot of research and found suprise this wasnt the truth.

  Hey sweetie, go to the un site and print out the page that says the jw was part of the un for 10 years. Then go to the liturature (jw) and find where they say it is so evil and it will bring the end. Hand him all the info and ask him to explain. If you need any help let me know.

  we wrote our da letter, mailed off a copy to the society & put the other copy in the drop box at the kh yesterday.

  the elders had called us every day from saturday through tuesday wanting us to come in to meet....so they could df us i'm sure & probably at tonight's meeting mind you.

  funny thing......after dropping off our letter yesterday before service time started, we received no phone call last night.

  ok, here is my idea! since you know her go to her work and write on her car window: " I am a Jehovahs Witness and I shun dogs" or make a bumper sticker and put it on her bumper maybe she will not notice.

  should I disassociate myself or wait to get disfellowshipped?

  my closes friend asked me today if her and her husband should just go ahead and write a letter of disassociation or wait to be df.

  many months ago i talked with them about 607, etc.

  all the things i was finding out.

  WELL I TOLD EVERYONE I WOULD KEEP THEM UPDATED. HERE IS THE LATEST NEWS. AN ELDER CALLED AND THEY WANT TO MEET WITH MY FRIENDS TOMARROW NIGHT. KEEP IN MIND THAT NO ONE HAS STOPPED BY OR CALL THEM IN MONTHS. THE ELDER SAID THEY WANTED TO MEET WITH THEM BECAUSE IT APPERENTLY HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO THE ELDERS ATTENTION THAT THEY HAVE BEEN DOING THINGS AGAINST THE ORG. RULES. WHAT EVER THAT MAY BE. THE ELDER SAID HE COULD NOT GO INTO WHAT IT WAS THEY WANTED TO SPEAK TO THEM ABOUT BUT HE JUST COULDNT DO IT OVER THE PHONE. THEY HAVE TO MEET WITH A BODY OF ELDERS. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO PUT THEMSELVES THROUGH THE MENTAL ABUSE. THEY HAVE DECIDED TO WRITE A DIS. LETTER. IF ANYONE HAS A GOOD LETTER THEY CAN TAKE NOTES FROM PLEASE SEND THEM OUR WAY. THANKS FOR ALL OF THE SUPPORT YOU ALL OFFER.

  i am 16 years old and i was raised as a jehovah's witness, but i want out.

  the whole society is based on brainwashing, propaganda and greed.

  my parents are so brainwashed about it that when i told her thnta i didn't want to be part of this religion anymore, she cried.

  WELCOME, THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR CONCERN. KEEP IN MIND YOUR PARENTS HAVE BEEN IN THIS ORG. FOR MANY YEARS AND THEY TRULY BELIEVE THAT IF YOU ARE NOT A JW YOU WILL SURELY DIE. THIS IS A HARD THING TO DEAL WITH FOR PARENTS. THEY LOVE YOU AND WANT WHAT IS BEST. I THINK YOU SHOULD START THOWING LITTLE QUESTIONS TO THEM. CHECK OUT THIS SITE AND THE QUESTIONS DIFFERENT ONES HAVE AND THE ANSWERS THEY HAVE GOTTEN. DONT ASK MAJOR QUESTIONS YET OR THEY ARE GOING TO WONDER WHAT APOSTATE THINGS YOU HAVE BEEN LISTENING TOO. START OUT LITTLE AND DONT THROW TO MANY THINGS THEIR WAY AT ONCE. GIVE THEM SOME THINGS THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO RESEARCH. THINGS THAT WHEN THEY DO RESEARCH THEY WILL BE SHOCKED AT WHAT THEY FIND.
