Jeff Foxworthy....You might be a JW if....
by Lady Liberty in.
hello all.... sat around the campfire this weekend and laughed our butts off coming up with jeff foxworthy type humor.
it was so funny we thought it would be fun to run a thread here... i'll start.... "if your only yearly vacation is a "trip" to the district convention...you might be a jw.".

Thanks I'm home and angry
by hambeak ini am angry because my adult children who are active jw's think i should be dead or suffer for not being a witness and i supported them comfortably and they shunned me and show hate i am sad and probably won't do the chemo thing and just let nature take its course.
any ideas?
i am taking pain meds so this is probably messed up with my message help.

What my week brought me
by Pistoff ini don't usuallypost about personal issues; i am still fading; besides, i was raised in a family that would say we were doing well even if our house was burning down.. for the last month i have been stressing about seeing family from the west coast; my brother, out for many years but now back in and gung ho, is bringing his son and daughter out.
family reunion, of sorts.
i wanted to host, but then i realized that my disfellowshipped daughter would not be included.

The "Fade" - Evaluating A New Phenomenon
by slimboyfat into what extent has the growth of the "fade" been facilitated by internet forums such as this?
sure there were people who chose to fade in the pre-internet era, simply by withdrawing themselves, gradually involving themselves with non-witnesses to a greater extent, or getting in touch with other ex-witnesses covertly through the convention system/telephone and mailing support network that used to be more important before the advent of the internet.
so the "fade" is not an invention of the internet era, not en entirely "new phenomenon".

Were you ever jealous of ones that left????
by mama1119 ini always wondered how they had the balls to do it.
and especially if they seemed happy with no remorse, and were able to celebrate holidays and live "normal" lives.
i remember wishing, in my early twenties, that i had the strength to do that.
