WT RESOLUTIONS what becomes of them??

i got an email the other day from an long time jw, in fact he was 13 at the 1958 convention in ny and polo grounds .

we were talking about the org and he posed the question to me as well- i thought about it and i could not think of anything-.

i have never heard -other than the name adoption resolution- any mention of any resolutions that we as jw adopted like in 1979, 1983 , etc.

Somehow I think you already knew the answer.

Resolutions serve the task masters very well.......a way for them to inspire and promote a feeling of serious resolve.

Nothing more than another mind warping trick the Judge was a big one for resolving. He resolved to fight Christendom 'until hell freezes over', his stupid irritating sound cars roamed the streets of unsuspecting neighborhoods shouting out every which resolution he declared for the day.

It all started with the master of PT Barnum tactics, applied to religion. DEAR BROTHERS LET US RESOLVE................bulldust, bullspit, bullpucky, bulldip, bull, bull bull. Amen Amen Amen.

I believe that Terry's story....is in fact one of those 'truth posts'. He did a fine job of blending the reality with the mojo of jwdom. Understandable language for those in or out of the cult.

It is clear to me Gummyone, that Adam had such a huge job naming those animals that came from 'the ground' that those hiding beneath 'the waters' didn't matter much to god or Adam.

So chewy person, the conclusion that must be reached is; god made the birds from salamanders.

Not to mention Adam did not have a face mask and snorkel or rubber fins, so can you blame the bastard?

i described myself recently as no longer angry.. that was a lie.. i am angry at the way jehovah's witnesses treat their most precious.

It is a heinious crime.***

What is really sad is the fact that many in the borg actually know how wrong it is, yet cannot or will not make the break.

They are living a lie so big, it is hard for them to even imagine 'it' as anything other than 'the truth'. Such power few kings or dictators have never tasted.

Yet those smarmy bastards on the GB go about thier daily lives, telling themselves and the r&f how important it is to stay faithful to the lie. They really do believe thier own press.

The Watchtower guilt machine is indeed a powerful tool

i haven't posted as much here as i've wanted these past few weeks, but i've spent most of my time lurking here, or in chat.

for the last few 2 months roughly, every meeting i attended became extremely painful to endure, such that i would come up with excuses to miss as many as possible.

but there are 2 events that really gave me a swift kick to wake me up and realize that things had to change.

Dubs brains are wired to fire with high anxiety, trigger words that do the trick; 'Jehovah knows', 'the end of this system of things', 'keep yourselves clean', even the seemingly innocuous words 'brothers and sisters' serves the master's will very well as respects generating guilt.

I mean how could one possibly let your own flesh and blood down. All of a sudden the departing dub, has to deal with the loss of his God and blood relatives all at the same time.

Knorr and company really hit the jackpot when instituting(or should i say refining) dfing as the final 'solution,' to keep straying at a minimum.

May the bastard and his evil cohorts rot forever, for even suggesting this religious judicial system has anything remotely to do with a loving God.

The word Love has become so bastardized by religion, hollywood, fairytales, that it really does not carry the same impact it once may have conveyed.

To me simple acts of kindness......a smile, an offer to clear the dirty dishes, a pat on the back, willingness to be seen in a bad light, or able to take the brunt of joke, ability to laugh at oneself, ........selflessness is the true representation of love.

Funny how people with that ability are always in demand. They are shining stars among the dull and dreary common everyday, all to often norm of those who see the world in terms of me, me, me.

believe me, despite some of my comments about religion and my feelings about the bible, i do examine myself and my thinking process all of the time.

i really do think deeply about my life and the lives of my family, and i really try to examine how i feel.
