Does Jehovah accept human sacrafice or not?

Jehovah (tribal god) always did his dirty work with more class than other tribal gods. Baal/Molech neighbor god's of the Isrealites, tended to be more aggressive. They didn't mess around with one or two child sacrifices they demanded wholesale slaughter.

Huge fires burning, consuming, many children at once. So you can clearly see Jehovah was the better choice...well if you were a jew....ya had no choice. Oh well.

Jw's/Christians really get no choice either. They just go along with the current priests (GB) directives and offer up themselves, sons, daughters, parents, cousins, thier entire lives to the the SACRED COW ...Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.....willingly throwing thier lives on the alter of its hideous service.

Burned up and spit out by the organization. Yes Jehovah loves human sacrifice.

Now lets get DD to admit it!

We walked out of my mom's memorial service

I truly believe that this kind of conduct binds the jdubs together more than any other activity. Almost like a shared euphoria or drug induced high.

'The tie that binds' is oh so much more than 'door to door' or singing the hidieous kingdom songs. It is the overt manifestation of thier 'purity' thier 'clean organization' (an oxymoron if ever there was one). They get gleefully high from exercising 'righteous indignation' towards those they KNOW are rejected by Jehovah himself.

Unable to see the true evilness of thier ways, they will follow the letter of the law. Even invent some policy or rule that gives them another opportunity for a 'fix'.

These cultists relish even the prospect of one in thier midst getting d'fd, they can't wait to hear the announcement at the end of the Service Meeting. It is these events that reassure them of thier status with GOOOOOD.

They may act saddened or even shed a tear.........yet they know that rejection, shunning, shame, dishonor, is the fabric that holds thier entire world together.

It is more than sad and pathetic.............it is evil in and of itself.

``Turning the Tables"Dept.: What About Doing Shepherding on Elders?

i wonder how the local elders would like it if a couple of of us ``weak ones" were to stop by their homes unannounced to discuss ``spiritual matters" with them and their families?

it may be an unfair generalization, but it seems to me that every encounter with an elder has to be on their terms.

locally here, few if any jws know the addresses of the elders or has ever been to any of their homes; this is especially true of any dub regarded as ``weak," ``irregular" or ``marginal.

Dear, dear essie!

So happy you gave me a shout. Hope you and yours are doing well.

Went out and purchased my first live Christmas tree today. It's a California Coastal Redwood about 8ft tall..........smells awesome. Got the house deco lights up over the weekend. I just love Christmas!

I stop by this site now and then....just to give Gumby a hard time he haw.

Aloofness rather than a genuine spirit of brotherliness seems pervasive in the JW community here.

There was always a measure of 'aloofness' towards a select few......yet your choice of the word 'pervasive' is very telling.

Are jw's withdrawing from each other even more now? Think maybe its a cumlative effect of so many years of disappointing expectations? 1975, 1914, 2000, 'great tribulation', the big A itself taking it's sweet time in coming, just causing the brotherhood to fracture?

It's been over 25 years since I set foot in a Kingdom Hall.....I can only imagine whats going on now.

WHY DO YOU INSIST on clinging to the Bible as anything other than fiction?

have you made the same effort investigating the history of how scripture was written down, compiled, redacted and selected as you did reinforcing your jw doctrines week after week at the kingdom hall?.

if you have; then you know it cannot be factual.. there have always been agendas.

the people with the agendas needed to wield power and using an invisible backup agent was a great device for controlling others.. somebody is always insisting they have an invisible and mysterious source of divine information and selling it like hotcakes and syrup.

Take your pick of any so-called holy writing or belief system, the arguments remain the same.

Have you noticed that certain religions (beliefs-dogma) exercise more control over the adherents than others?

Islam for example has morphed into a more radical/zealout style in recent times. Almost the opposite of other ancient religions.

Much like jw's who flourished in times of persecution, religion seems to garner its most fervent and faithful when times are tough.

Man seems incapable of facing his mortality, his lack of real solid answers to the hard questions (why are we here? is this all there is? etc) by over compensating in the arena of spiritual enlightenment.

When the Arab and Jewish world was unfolding, perhaps the only solice the only comfort from the nomadic desert exsistance came from the thought of everlasting life in the arms of 72 virgins or sitting at the right hand of god on heavenly thrones. Think.

Things have really not changed at all. Only the rules and requirements have been adjusted. Ask any jw they keep looking for 'new light' every summer at countless baseball stadiums around the globe.

if you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things?

.all evidence in fulfillment of bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years?

as a young person you will never fulfill any career that this system offers.

What siicks out in my mind, was the almost effortless deniability jw's displayed after those very intense 5 or 6 yrs came and went. The passing of 1975 was but a little blip on the screen for the 'strong ones'.

Puts any politician's spin to shame. Not one iota of guilt or shame for misleading ten of thousands around the world. Wrecking emotions, finances, future earning power, all based on a little pipsqueek of a man (Freddie Franz) who prolificly wrote his way into being the MaHaRushti of all things prophetic and scriptural.

That damn man was truly evil.....his legacy is written in hearts of millions for poor duped souls. Iam one of them who fell for every word....my all time favorite was Freddy's Babylon the Great.......what a crock of babel that was!

I lapped up every word. What a fool I was!

Hello tj......long time...

When anyone prefaces a comment with 'in my opinion' it quickly raises red flags for all listeners. I prefer someone to simply state what they believe without the controversial precursor.

Measuring whether one has a completely independent thought or is just simply regurgitating is really a tough call. Like you, I believe we reflect the sum total of our life experiences and education. What screws up the process is emotion and cultural atmosphere.

Political correctness is one of those cultural atmosphere things that make people do and say things.....can I safely say?.........tell 'little white lies' about thier true beliefs.

Of course you and I have never done so.
