Merry Christmas to you, too.

merry x-mas folks!
i'm finally finished tormenting myself for this year, and i'm leaving for 14 days holidays with my wife to a place in the sun :) .
a little information as well.
Kent,
Merry Christmas to you, too.

they just seem to not exist.
in my daily travels, in fact i rarely see any 'hovahs out in service, let alone young ones.
she is a teller at my bank, and a hottie, too!
I continued to be amazed that: since I walked away 4 years ago I've never been called on, nor has literature been left at my door. My house is not in any way restricted or hard-to-find or any of that either.
I, too have noticed a decrease in seeing Witnesses out on the "big" service day (Saturday). Lately I've seen an increase in "shopping center" and "parking lot" type activity....where I see Witnesses I recognize singly out, apparently trying to do their thing. This type of work was just starting to take hold when I left.
Good points raised in this thread.
So much for "thorough" territory coverage. What a joke. In the congregation I last associated with, the territory coverage figure was around once every 2 months or so. The reality, as set forth in this thread is so different.

you, farkel and others continue to mete out unfair assessments of the position i have taken because it apparently is out of sync with your worldview.
also, that remark implying that simon tolerates my posts as if my expressed beliefs are a nuisance on this forum are putting words in his mouth.
you seem to think that it's inappropriate to express views on jehovahs-witness.com that don't support the specific partylines of two major camps: partyline jehovah's witnesses as represented by the watchtower society or farkelline ex-jehovah's witnesses with strong steinhaugist underpinnings.
Derrick,
FYI there are several "Dannys" 'round here....[ DannyBoy (ME)....DannyBear...DanTheMan..etc.]
I know you're not addressing me, 'cause we've never talked, and other "Dannys" are probably much more well known, but, well, I just thought I'd mention it.

my wife told me that last night a letter was read from the society, explaining how all printing operations in brooklyn were being moved to either walkill or patterson, and that worldwide there would be consolidation of the printing operations.
i know there have been rumors like this floating around here for the last month or so, but now it seems there is confirmation.
has anyone else heard about this letter being read?

Reading these posts reminds me of how dedicated and "obedient" I was. I really did try not to miss any meetings, even when health issues arose. Yes, a true believer. Never looked down on others who weren't quite as a dedicated as me.....had to set a good example, you know.
Now just see myself as a (formerly) dumba$% sucker.

did you have a pet while being in the jehovah witnesses?
having a 40 hours/week job and going to all my meetings, and being an aux.pioneer, i hardly had any time left for my cat.
i knew many families who also were so busy with that religion, that they had to get rid of their pet.

You had inadvertently misquoted me - I wrote "esc(h)atology", not "eschatology" (see the posting and the editing times), in case some readers did not understand French.
The forum recently instituted rules decrying ex post facto posting. I remind you that such pharts cannot be appreciated by the unwashed masses of onlookers, especially those sneering observers who fear you and I have gone over to the dark (Satan's) side.
My points remain valid, especially the aromatic one, although it is a shame we can't appreciate odor through this electronic medium. Michael Todd, where are you when we need you?

sorry to disappoint.... i am the first to admit my errors.. having now carefully considered everything, i believe that what you will see if you click the link provided below:.
Focus:
Evariste Galois
How inciteful of you to know of my fond feelings for him, (or as I call him, "Evar Buddy" when I'm channeling). But surely a wise and loving God would never bring back from the land of non-existence a man who squandered his gifts and died too young and much too stupid.
Outlaw:
wiping
Naw, not soft enough for that use (at least for me)
LOL.

Utopian: Thanks for clarifying your viewpoint. Since I no longer subscribe to anything published by the Watchtower Society, I depend on this forum for the latest scoop.
Focus:
without prior eschatological checking
It strikes me that the checking needed was more of the scatological variety, with emphasis on aromatic characteristics.

But, dannyboy, is FFT suitable for Christians? I believe there may be an upcoming article in Awake on a related question
You are so well connected, I didn't know there was any question on this. Sheez. I have got to stay more tuned in to where the FDS is leading me. Earlier in my life, with the help of the FDS, I saw that I needed to get out of tobacco farming. So I just let my valuable rights go, and started over, getting into mathematics. Sounds like I'll be making yet another change. If God's Organization requires me to get out of FFT's, I'm sure you can see what my viewpoint would be. I wonder if it would be ok for me to sell my math books and programs? Any suggestions on a new line of work would be appreciated.
Some people may have difficulty accessing HTTP://WWW.WATCHT0WER.0RG . Of course, sometimes bandwidth considerations make it hard to access a website, when a large number of people try to access a website at one time.
Yes, I agree. It might be better for folks who are having trouble to wait and try again tomorrow.

Puzzled.
