Yes! Yes! Yes Yes!! Far too lame a sentance. However when I think of that assholes face as he held hands with his wife & walked away a free man, I don't think he will be quite so happy now. Hope he gets f**ked backwards by some big huge dirty rapist. Rot in hell!

Shunning a Jehovah's Witness - They don't like it!
by jambon1 inan elder who lives nearby has decided to be play the twat with me recently.
i have been out for nearly 2 years, which makes it even more pathetic on his part.. after leaving, this character (thinking i was depressed), would give me the most tactless, thoughless advice that you have ever heard.
he loved 'giving it to me' right outside my house.

Cheers for the comments. Play the twat means, basically he is playing the idiot, being a jerk to me (I think a twat in the UK = Vagina). Also, take a pop at me = have a go at me, try to start a wee fight. At the end of the day, the guy is a fanny (vagina). I hope he realises just how out of order he is. I'm not even d/f'd!!

What kind of people remain members and will serve the WTS to the end?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy family have been members of the wts since the 1980's.
they never went to college, don't read any books besides watchtower material, have no hobbies, don't have any friends besides witness "friends",worked manual labor jobs all their lives, never questioned anything the wts changes, and have never looked into any other teachings besides the wts propaganda.
{ in other words: they are closed minded and not very inquisitive}.

One m/s said to me after the panorama paedo documentary in 2002; "If I were to find out that ALL the governing body were paedophiles, I would still be going to the meetings". Says it all really. PS - That is no exageration. He actually said that.

An elder who lives nearby has decided to be play the twat with me recently. I have been out for nearly 2 years, which makes it even more pathetic on his part.
After leaving, this character (thinking I was depressed), would give me the most tactless, thoughless advice that you have ever heard. He loved 'giving it to me' right outside my house. I suppose it made him feel better, to have a pop at the waster.
Since the beginning, he goes through different spells where he won't wave to me as I pass in my car, he won't say hello as I pass him on the street, etc, etc.
I have kinda put up with it. However, he had a right go at me in front of someone else when we were standing discussing my car being vandalised. Very unsympathetic. The other person, after listening to him was left standing like this . He basically made himself look like a right vagina, for the sake of giving me a dressing down.
Well, after that, I have decided to shun him. For the past few weeks, I haven't looked his way, waved or stopped to speak to him. As I catch him out the corner of my eye, I can see that he isn't liking it. After all, HE is the upstanding JW elder, and I am but a filthy wee worldling.
I am going to continue this until it comes to a head. Then when he eventually asks me what I am up to (cause he will), I am going to let him know exactly what I though of his little on-street speech that he gave the other week.
They don't like it when the boot is on the other foot!
Any similar experiences?
PS - I am taking this action after a 'course of sin', on his part.

Gays? Round the lot of them up into a field and bomb the bastards! LOL. Supressing my sexual desires as a teen led to me being like a wee wound up, randy terrier. For others it has much more detrimental effects. Just ask the alter boys of the disgusting catholic religion. Filth!

Death and Resurrection
by Cold Creek Swimmer ingood morning all.. i am writing this after learning of my father's death yesterday.
i am a bit out of sorts to say the least.
i was fortunate to have been able to talk and laugh with him only last weekend while he was (we thought) recovering from a coma in a long term care facility.

CCS, thanks for your post & sorry for your loss of a close loved one. I am firmly in your camp. I believe in no god, no afterlife. However, if one of my kids died, then I can see the attraction in groping on to some kind of comforting thought of seeing them again. To think that I will never see them again just crushes me. However, we must live in the real world. Life isn't a fantasy. That's why I always make sure that I make each day count. Live life like there is no tomorrow. JW's live life for the after armageddon fantasy. Hence, they tend to look like idiots to most right thinking individuals. Best wishes to you and your family, J.

I just read one of your early posts. You mention how you came to view Jehovah's Witnesses as just another religion after examining some matters. This is what happened to me after the paedophile documentary went out in Britain in mid July 2002. I was totally gutted. After all the pride I took in the brothers that took a stand in the Nazi regime etc, I was just so disappointed that all of those good things were sort of 'thrown out the window' because of this horrendous paedophile issue. My parents commented that we looked "just like the Catholics". I felt a pain in my heart when they said that. The year 2002 goes down as the start of my major spiritual decline. Thankfully, some of my spiritual decline was also prompted by the birth of my beutiful daughter in that year also. Blood issue/d/f, etc, it was all too much when I had her to think about. Good/bad times when I look back. Thank goodness I am free! Best wishes mate.

Thanks for your story. I can empathise with the part about it seeming like the best part of your life. I too wanted to believe it all. Also, the compliments & acceptance from others during my years of pioneering & being an m/s gave me a real ego boost/made me feel wanted/needed. However, I ALWAYS had reservations about a lot of stuff. After a number of years with responsible positions, I was disgausted with some things that I saw being done by elders & pioneers. When I left, I was lucky enough to have a support network of peope in place (all my family were non-JW's). However JWD was invaluable in getting things off my chest among people who fully understood. Good luck in your journey.

Tell Us About Your JW Father If You Had One.
by new boy inwe are great friends now....but he wasn't much of a father growing up.. worked all the time...we went on few vacations....pretty much pussy whipped my my nazis jw mother.. he never did believe in the whole jw thing.
he just when along with it, for my mothers sake.. she never did respect him for not being a "spiritual head" and pretty much let us kids know about it.. i, like my mother became very self rightious and judgmental.. i wished now he had just came to me just once and said "keith maybe the jws are not the people you think they are.
" but he was to afraid of my mother to say that...even though he knew it to be true.i would have never believed him....back then....but it would have planted a seed.... .
