Billy Mays cracks me up more than anything. He always looks like he's ready to bust out laughing at any moment when he's pitching whatever, as if he's thinking, "I can't believe how much money I'm making selling this shit!"

Surviving the Economic Depression
by metatron infirst, let's clear something up: for many people, it's no longer a question of recession - the depression is here and may last for many years!.
this could be true if you live in many parts of europe, or africa or ...... michigan!
let the 'experts' quibble over definitions, to me jobless rates of 15 to 20 % with little hope of change signals a depression where you live.. some suggestions:.

Rule #1: Don't get "Down Sized"
Rule #2: Just happen to work in a field that is not affected
Rule #3: Just happen to work in a field that is benefitting from the Economic Depression
LOL!
I've always had a gnawing feeling that the economy would tank in a huge way sometime in my lifetime, probably sooner than later, and I've been fortunate enough to have an income for the past few years that has allowed me to set aside a healthy bit of savings (by my standards anyways). But if the fed starts printing money to pay off the debt, then inflation will gobble it up in no time I'm sure. And then we'd have the Chinese severely pissed off at us for killing the value of their investments, etc. etc. Things could get very interesting over the next few years months.

That colored figure is a visual representation of your IP address.

Hi Quandry, to get a poster's history, just click on their name, and that will take you to a page where you can click on a 'topics posted on' link.
I'm not sure if the pm icon in the upper right changes color or something when you have unread pm's, do you want me to send you a test? Then we'd both know.
Old vs. new:
Pros: I like that it's Firefox friendly (no more having to pull up Xinha Here to format posts), and the overall look is nicer.
Cons: I miss the old forum's thread view and the ability to respond directly to someone's post.
