  Quitting smoking (again)

  i managed to stay off the bloody things for over 2 1/2 yrs but alas i fell off the wagon in september.

  my plan is to ramp-down today by only having a cig every two hours or so, then cold turkey tomorrow.

  i have a hard time holding myself to 'quit days' when i'm the only one who knows what day it is, hence i'm making it public so that i feel more accountable.

  i've been in denial for a couple of years, but it's finally coming home to roost...ohio state is overrated and they can't compete with the elite college teams.

  i'm at a bit of a crossroads.. .

  in 2007, i received an associate of arts degree from a local community college.

  i never really concentrated on any one particular area of study, and so i have a pretty broad range of coursework under my belt.. .

  i read an article about this show before the first episode ever aired, and i was so intrigued by the premise that i had to watch.

  i have been hooked ever since.

  mm is the only show on tv that i feel compelled to watch every episode of.

  How do you tell somebody that they do something that is socially awkward...

  my sister, who i am close with, has a tendency to talk and laugh at very high, at times even piercing volumes when she is in social situations where there is more than say, four or five people present.

  it's like, her volume increases exponentially with every person that you add to the mix.

  A God I can believe in

  i sometimes feel this spiritual void inside, like i'm standing at the edge of an abyss, and it's so much that i can hardly take it.

  the odd thing about it is that i always feel it when i'm starting to get close to a lady, close enough to where those deep feelings start to arise - where a momentary look into her eyes feels like a thousand years of life experience and the ephemeral nature of life becomes most painfully plain.

  i think that i need to believe in god, somehow, someway, if i'm gonna get through life without going nuts and/or doing myself harm.

  the reason i ask is because on the wt library (2005) the second of the two study articles from that mag has a blurb at the end that i found rather bizarre: .
