Has anyone else had this experience?
by DevonMcBride ini was speaking with an ex-jw the other day and she told me that before she was df'd when she tried to anti-witness to her jw relatives, an elder found out and threatened physical harm to her dog.
this isn't the first time i have heard about inactive or free thinking jw's being physically or emotionally threatened.
other than disfellowshipping and shunning, did any of you ever experience any physical or emotional obstacle or threat when trying to anti-witness to jw friends, family and acquaintainces?

I will start I guess.
"Grammer correcting" I hate it when someone corrects my grammer. Unless I am asking you to proofread something for me or am looking for a good way to put something..shut up if i screw it up or say "me and my brother" instead of "whoever and I" I hate it and want to pop their heads off like a dandelion.
also slow drivers, "the woe is me attitude", teletubbies

Ice in Your Drink?
by Kenneson inafter reading the article entitled "fast food ice dirtier than toilet water.
seventh grader's science project turns up some disturbing results," you might have second thoughts about drinking anything with ice in it at restaurants, etc.
it's pretty disgusting, i think.

I understand what your saying. And you know what? I did it to my father. when i was 20 my little bro and I finally met up with "dad" after not seeing him for 9 years. We were both grown (physically) men, my brother standing 6'4" and me 2 inches shorter. My dad stands around 5'8" and weighs about a buck fifty soakin wet. I think it was the mail man.
anyway. The meeting went semi normal (as it could be) until my bro burst out with a huge "WHY" and I followed suit. As horrible as that day was, it got really ugly btw. It is sometimes needed to confront those who have hurt you and the ones you love. But I will not say it was fun or made me great about that confrontaion with my father. It will hurt, exspecailly when you see those with "normal" familys. I don't know if I am making sense but either way, I understand what your going through and it is not easy.
confrontation is needed i believe but its not pleasant.

I heard recently that the average computer keyboard is 10 times filithier than a toilet seat. Oooh!
Well, if you eat, drink, do homework, and basically live in front of your pc and add loneliness = nasty keyboard.
I bartended for years and would like to add that unless your at a high class join (and usually even those are nasty) the ice is your last concern. If you saw how the glasses were cleaned and how dirty they really are and the fact that a large percentage of staff do not regularly wash there hands you would do what I do when you go out.
Drink bottled beer.
...ok ok, use the shot glasses, but i lie to myself and think that alcohol will kill all the germs.

Are they Guilty?
by Honesty in.
is the watchtower bible and tract society and its representatives guilty of crimes against god and humanity?.

hell yes,
don't you think that when they rip apart familys with shunning that it could be labeled as "religous persecution"?
