Dating and the ex-JW
by Layla33 ini am still surfing around this forum and i am happy to see there is are topics related to relationships.
it is nice to see this here.. to be honest, ever since i was out of the jw religion, i have tossed over ever dating an ex jw or an inactive jw.
i have occasionally come across this situation and weighed both the pros and cons.

I'd love to date an ex-JW. But I'd have to be 100% sure that he knows "the truth" is a lie and that he'd never go back. We'd also have to have other interests in common. Plus chemistry!

Feeling sorry for the old time witnesses...wishing it were the "truth".
by integ init's really pretty sad.
i think of my parents, my aunt, and a lot of the old timers that have been in this thing for so long, and i can't help but feel sorry for them.
i mean, how devastating it would/will it be to find out they have been duped all along.

I feel sorry for the old timers when I see them trudging from door to door with their walking sticks and frames - faithfully still going at midday in all kinds of weather when the young people have long gone. Not that I blame the young people!

Generation change in study article
by LadyCCC ini just finished reading the "journal" and it mentioned that they have said in the past that the generation meant the unbelieving jews, and then in modern day times generation meant world of unbelievers, now am i wrong to assume that what is mentioned in paragraph 15 of the last study article in the feb. 15th watchtower is that the annointed are the "generation"?
is this now new light?
are we to assume that this is still the truth despite the changes, i mean what if they are and our faith is being tested?

You could send it to the Australian branch: PO Box 280, Ingleburn, NSW 1890. They'll probably just send it on to the local elders so you could expect a visit.

That's nice that you got a response. It's pleasant. She probably misses you. Or am I romanticizing?

Newbie Hello
by yomomma ini am very new to the site and i'm sure there is a learning curve, so please bear with me.
i have looked around a little and find the site very interesting and encouraging so far.
it is heartwarming to meet other people with questions or experiences who can relate them without needing to hide behind blatant negativity or automatic judgemental attitudes.
