Do you think these guys have any other nasty little habits?
You don't think that dentures are only for chewing food, do you?
i have to tell a funny gambling story.
i love to gamble, but have slowed and stopped recently because it has hurt me.
but here is the story.

see newsweek september 4, 2006, page 12, "with beliefnet.com".
fourth question:.
sub-forsanta, a nonprofit organization i work with, donates gifts to families in need every december.
You know, with all of the spinning that P.R. Brown does day in and day out, he would have made a great White House Press Secretary. He could have probably gotten George W's approval ratings up about 0.003% higher.
.
i think that when you are in a cult like the dubs, things stick with you whether you want them to or not.
i still pray before meals and bedtime...anybody else?
I still recoil whenever I see a "No Soliciting" sign somewhere. ( LOL )
i just cracked open my "crisis of conscience" book and reread the chapter, "point of decision.
" i wonder what ever happened to the people who were disfellowshiped and kicked out of bethel.
i know that ed dunlap went back to oklahoma and died not too long ago.
Another website where you could inquire is the Bible Research & Commentary International ( BRCI). The board of directors is made up entirely of ex-JWs; some of whom probably knew a couple of them. Tom Cabeen, who was a printery overseer in Brooklyn at the time of the inquisitions is also on the board.
i am interested in finding out if christianity still teaches a burning hell.
it is my understanding that they are starting to drop this teaching as just a figurative place.
is that true?.
Many Baptist churches do not. My understanding is that the Lutheran Church doesn't teach it either. Although, this question is sometimes hard to answer since so many Christian churches here in the U.S. are somewhat autonomous; without a centralized authoritarian body which dictates doctrine to all of it's members.

One of my relatives was caught gambling shortly after being baptised. She claimed she did not know it was wrong so they annulled her baptism and then rebaptised her.
Are you serious? ( LOL ) They annulled her baptism? I've never heard of that. In that case, they probably should have annulled the baptisms of everybody who has ever been reproved for hanky-panky.
acctualy i don't believe in demons anymore.
but the recent bible teach study caused me to wonder... why does the society think that the demons are not capable of making bodies for themselves anymore, there was no support scripture so i looked it up on the wt library:.
in 1953 there was a questions from readers about why they posess people and animals... they simply stated without any proof that they are incapable of making bodies anymore.. then in 1955 they offer a scripture.. *** w55 10/1 p. 594 par.
Why couldn't they just as easily made themselves women to have sex with? Smacks of a manmade fable to me.
That's because it is based on ancient mythology. Notice how the account never mentions the angels materializing into women to be able to have sex with men. The WTS has stated that angels are devoid of gender. Why would wicked spirit beings devoid of gender only want to have sex with women? And furthermore, why would a powerful spirit being have sexual cravings, which are something that are purely biological in nature?
Tim Callahan in his book: "Secret Origins of the Bible" writes extensively on this subject. According to Callahan, the evidence shows that these accounts were originally written to be allegorical to depict the human sons of Israel (sons of God) having sexual cravings for the pagan; and much inferior women of the surrounding nations. And so, they forsook their cherished postions and pursued that which was unatural. This Old Testament account has parallels in other Middle Eastern mythologies that predate the book of Genesis.
dear kingdom publisher,
the faithful and discreet servant, has recently described how jehovah's loving kindness has benefitted the now former members of bethel.
we believe that jehovah will provide all of those affected with a modest means of living and counsel avoidance of all extravagance.
I say we lay off all of the Governing Body members and outsource their jobs to India.
while thinking about more bible related legends depicted in films, a rather obvious one came to mind...the ark of the covenant.
do you think it still exists, hidden somewhere?
or do you think it was captured and destroyed following one of the defeats of israel?
I remember reading an article where some university students built an Ark of the Covenant to scale. The sucker turned out to be an energy collector.Touch it,and it would blow you across the room..BOOM!!..Your a dead man!!..The only way it could be touched, was after you grounded it..I still have the book I`ll have to dig it out..Still unpacking my new place...OUTLAW.
Are you serious? What made it conduct electricity? I know absolutely nothing about electricity. Do you happen to know which university? I would appreciate it if you could PM me with whatever info you have. I really want to read about that.
there are currently long debates going on with 3w about the subtle meaning of words and how they are supposed to prove the wts has the correct doctrine.
even as a jw i always noticed that it was impossible to prove a doctrine to people in the field.
the fact that 2 christians can discuss topics endlessly without any conclusion shows me that god can not possibly be going to destroy every non jw simply because they could not be convinced of watchtower doctrine.. the bible says very little about doctrine, besides pauls discussions to show jesus is our ransomer and means for everlasting heavenly life.
Unless, of course, he is counting this in his field service time.
You know, I made a sarcastic joke about this to thirdwitness one time. I think he really is counting his time doing this. Think about it, why would someone spend this much time defending Watchtower doctrine on an "apostate" website? To my knowledge, thirdwitness has never denied it.
