  They had to draw the mammoths becuase they claim the frozen mammoths occasionally recovered in Siberia died in the flood. Never mind the actual age of the mammoth finds or the evidence of what they were eating.

  Yes, and another huge problem is that most of these specimens died in an upright position. One of the most famous specimens noted by the WTS was actually found to have both of it's hind legs broken. This does show that the animal probably fell into a crevice, and suffocated to death. A mammoth that drowned to death would not have frozen in a standing or sitting upright position.

  This of course displays complete ignorance of geology to even suggest that the crustal variations actually former through bilions of years of plate tectonics and volcanism resulted from a few feet of water in about a year.

  Yes, this is one of many problems with the WTS's assertions that the oceans were much smaller before the flood. Geologists have stated that such a massive and rapid manipulation of the earth's plates would have caused massive seismic activity, resulting in massive aftershocks all over the world for years afterward. What would have these massive aftershocks produced? Enormous tidal waves, tsunamis, and heightened volcanic erruptions.

  By the way, ice cores taken from the polar ice caps show systematic annual layers, similar to tree rings. Ice cores reaveal that these ice caps were around for thousands of years prior to the "flood period", and show no interuptions or influxes of salt water.

  There *IS* a New Revelation Book!!!

  yes, the km lists the changes, but i went to service meeting last night, played dumb, and asked the lit servant what book would be studied when the bible/teach book is finished...

  i now have a new, crappy, perfect-bound softcover copy of the "2006 printing" of the revelation book--not "revision", not "revised edition", but "printing".

  the gall of these arrogant sacks at bethel, i tell ya....my housemate and i spent about two hours going through the old and the new side-by-side and, thus far, have found several flubs that contradict the changes made in the new book whilst leaving others on the same topics undone elsewhere.

  If they're taking in the old ones claiming that they're being environmentally friendly, why don't they call in all the old Watchtowers, Awakes and the other crap?

  Why don't they also recall all of the old Circuit and District Overseers, and recycle them into glue?

  What is the meaning of life?

  i was reading about experiences of those who smoked 5meo-dmt, found in the venom of certain toads, i had got a hold of 1/2 of gram of the 99% pure stuff and smoke it about 20 or 30 times, it a very intense trip, that allows you to see thru many of the progams we got running around in our minds and concepts we've been brainwashed with from government and culture(that's about the best way i can discribe it).

  any way this experience that i take a quote from is after he came down enought to be able to speak english(i often spoke in tongues when first becoming able to speak) i thought he gave a pretty good answer to the question:i felt so clear-headed about everything that i asked my friends to just go ahead and ask me something, anything.

  one of them asked me 'what's the meaning of life?

  but myself, I'd rather smoke and lay out under the stars, or smoke and take pictures of things that I find beautiful, and them post the pictures here for everyones enjoyment....

  OFG, I have to say that your pictures are always really enjoyable to look at. You have a really good camera eye. I have noticed that you like to take a lot of pictures of puffy clouds, and cloud formations that look like puffs of smoke. Hmmmmm, I wonder why. ( LOL )

  And just an fyi--a lady came up to the lit counter while I was talking with the "brothers" and saw the new book. She asked if she could have one so that she wouldn't have to transcribe the changes into her old one; the Lit servant told her she could only have a new copy if she turned her old copy in. Sly fox--now that's the way to hide history!!!

  Funny how the WTS has always talked about the governments persecuting the Witnesses and confiscating their literature. Now, the JWs are confiscating literature from themselves. The irony. It's like a mugger pointing his gun into his own stomach and telling himself: "Hand it over!"

  I don't mean to be insulting or anything, but there are many first-semester philosophy students who could have made that observation without having to smoke anything. I think that most drugs and hallucinogens make people think that very simple observations are much more profound than they really are. I have seen many a pot smoker stare at something as simplistic as a tennis shoe and talk about how "far out, and amazing" it is.

  I think that perhaps Nancy Reagan's advice to "just say no" contains much deeper insight.

  What Christian religions do not believe in a burning hell?

  i am interested in finding out if christianity still teaches a burning hell.

  it is my understanding that they are starting to drop this teaching as just a figurative place.

  is that true?.

  I have heard of many religions believing that hell is another dimension where souls are tormented in an "emotional" or "mental" state of agony. In some Christian faiths, such torment is eternal, and therefore would imply immortality. In some eastern religions, the soul resides in such realms, where they have the free will to work toward spiritual purification through reincarnation, or can work to attain higher spiritual planes, or dimensions such as the celestial realms and heavens. However, I don't understand why people who believe in the soul surviving physical death, reach the conclusion that the soul must be immortal. If God created souls, why couldn't He also destroy them?
