  as a follow - up to dansk's thread on the jw male, i was looking at a bit of info in quotes, and found this bit of crapola from the august 22nd 1967 awake, which gives "reasons" why the man should be the head of the woman:.

  however, the facts show that the headship of a man is both somatically and psychologically sound and in the best interests of all concerned, even as we shall see.

  thus a leading authority on the human body (soma), gray's anatomy (1966 edition), tells the interesting fact that as regards the human skull there is no difference between the male and the female until the time of puberty; but then as adulthood is reached the difference becomes more and more apparent.

  sometimes, i find myself whistling kingdom melody tunes and things and also i remember 'burnt into my head' many pictures of babylon the great, people falling down cracks in the earth and demons hit with lightning.. anyone else?.

  Sometimes, I regress back into memories of handling the microphones at the Kingdom Hall. Having to rush down the isle, lean way over people to get the mic to them. And then, when an old sister can't hold it herself, I have to hold the mic pole out about 5 feet; and my arms start to weaken and quiver, because she gives a 4 minute comment. And then, when the mic chord hits someone's knee, they give me a dirty look.

  One must first understand the full Plan of Yahweh in order to understand why the world is on the verge of total destruction today, and what Yahweh's Plan is to save it.

  You gotta love good ole Yahweh. Isn't he just the kind of "heavenly father" that makes your heart fill with love and warmth? Say, why does Yahweh need to use nukes anyway? Why not just send another global flood? Oops, forgot. He already used up the watery expanse in the first flood. Damn.

  hey all, .

  i was raised as a jw, did what my parents who have been in it since there teens.

  got baptized at 15, pretty much my whole only child witness life was spent alone, i never had any close jw friends, because everyone in our congregation were so cliquey.anyways i stopped really attending meetings at age 19, when my best friend got df, i had already gotten privately reproved and i was upset and how they handled things with me, so i just told my mom i wasn't going to be a hyprocrit, and go to meetings and pretend to be happy, and agree with them... anyways long story short, i'm 23 now, and of course i got very depressed in 03, for about 6months, and just went through the mill, to be freaking around witnesses who i knew were fake drove me crazy, when u only ask how i am doing after not attending for months at a time, u are not my friend!.

  I suggest that you stop and think for a few minutes before making such an infantile post. Did it ever occur to you that I was just joking around? Never did I suggest that the org should be run by women only. I was merely lampooning the above referenced Watchtower and Awake articles. It was just humor.

  So, I would like to suggest that you settle down, take a few deep breathes, and maybe smoke a peace pipe.

  American ignorance and the loss of American freedoms

  i am forever in amazement at how much americans wine about all that the government has done since 9/11 to prevent more terror attacks.

  they wine because they have to do fingerprints now in banks, or how much extra time it takes to get through airport lines.

  i work in the telecommunication industry, and i can not believe how much of a big deal people made of the phone tapping done by our government.

  I told a some one (OK a Lyndon LaRouche acolyte on the street) that the fact that he could stand out there holding a sign that said "Bush and Cheney are Nazi's" was proof that they weren't. I don't think he got it.

  This is an excellent point. I certainly don't agree with George W. on several issues, but I certainly don't think of him as a fascist either. If all of the claims about the Patriot Act, and the "fascist clamp-down" on civil liberties was true; how was it possible for a movie like Fahrenheit 9/11 to be shown across the entire country without any retaliation taken toward Michael Moore? How is it possible for Charlie Sheen to be able to publicly discuss his conspiracy views of 9/11 without being taken in for questioning, or put on the FAA "No Fly List"? How is it possible for scores of blogs and websites that are extremely critical of the Bush Administration and the NSA to continue to operate? 1984 my ass.

  Oh, yes, how better it has been, having only men taking the lead in Jah's Organization! A bunch of false propheices, doctrinal flip-flops, disastrous child abuse policies, and now, a cut & paste Revelation book. Oh, yes; yes indeed.

  Here's a caveat one should consider: the bigger the brain; the more bad ideas one can come up with. It's what I like to call a "cranial crap-shoot".

  What Were You Doing When You Found Out about 9-11 5 Years Ago??

  everyone has a story about what they were doing and the emotions that followed after the twin towers were hit...what is your story?

  My clock radio went off at 6:30 a.m. (pacific). My radio was set on on 95.5 KLOS, which has the Mark & Brian Show in the morning. These are two guys that are always joking and laughing. The second my radio went on, and I heard their voices, I immediately knew something really bad had happened. Their voices were very somber, and they said that they were watching CNN in the studio. I jumped up and turned the TV on and saw the towers burning. At first, I thought that it was a bomb planted in the buildings.

  I was totally numb during my drive into work. I worked in a large office building, which made management concerned. Nobody was working when I got there; everybody was huddled into the lunch room watching the tv. By this time, the towers had collapsed. The room was totally quiet, except for a few women sniffing and in tears. It was terrible.

  Basically, the intellignece agencies are damned if they do; damned if they don't. The American public was outraged at the inabilities of the FBI, and the CIA to connect the dots regarding the Al Qaeda operatives that were taking flight classes before 9/11. But, then, when the Patriot Act was passed; which fixed those intelligence flaws, many of those same people started bitching about the fixes being made.

  I have heard many people accuse those of us who support the Patriot Act and the NSA wiretap programs as being "paranoid". This is quite odd, being that many of these same people are always pontificating how the NSA and the Bush Administration wants to "spy on all of us", "take away all of our rights", and "turn the country into a police state". Many of them started throwing the "George Orwell" and "1984" cliches around because the NSA had the "audacity" to monitor financial transactions of Al Qaeda members (a program that was recommended by the 9/11 Commission). When I hear all of this "big brother" and "1984" sloganeering coming out of the mouths of the people who hate the Patriot Act and NSA programs, I just sit back and ask: "who's really the paranoid one?"

  having heard that ted jaracz is being flown out of state to consult a heart specialist, i started wondering what other luxuries the governing body of the wtbts enjoy!

  any one any idea how they really live and if their vow of poverty is fake?.

  Why was Leo Greenlees pursuaded to go? He was at Bethel when I was there seemed harmless.
