  i had a ticket to get in and took one guest.

  i stood in line for about two hours.

  i then stood up for seven hours watching and waiting and dancing and laughing and cheering.

  i thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.

  i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.

  those that are still open-minded enough feel free to look over them even if in the end you still don't agree at least you have heard both the defence as well as the attack as they are on the internet.

Because all the evidence in fulfillment of Bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years. Of the generation that observed the beginning of the 'last days' in 1914, Jesus foretold:'This generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.' Therefore, as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers.

  A person who was 15 at the time of this article will now be trying to figure out if he or she can retire.......another way the WTS has destroyed the lives of its followers.....

  I have noticed that, when I have tried to make any points to my wife they look for any little way to enter back to their doctrinal discussions......get a JW out of their comfort zone, they either shut up or do all they can to get back to that zone.......

  Thanks for the information, and I will admit I have not taken time to read the links, but why would the Awake magazine in 1998 have an article on the UN that is a favorable opinion on it.

  today is a proud day for me.

  i became part of my fellow citizens in this country by casting my vote.

  it was a thrilling experience (more like a disney ride really, since the line wasn't that long).

  "jesus answered, my kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that i should not be delivered to the jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence".

  if jesus' kingdom is not of this world then christians with an earthly hope would obviously not be part of jesus' heavenly kingdom.. could this perhaps be a new perspective on the issue of voting or remaining separate from this world.. think about it.. jw's teach there are two classes of christians - those with an earthly hope and those with a heavenly hope.. .

  Great point on blood Still Fading!!!!

  If it were not for 'the present system of things', much of what we have today would not exist. The space program and the military are responsible for much of the technical advancement that this country and world has enjoyed.......

  To me there is no middle ground of being 'no part of this world', either you are a part of this world or not of it at all.

  If you truly are not going to be part of this world, please do not drive on the Eisenhower Interstate System, don't take handouts, don't work for city, state or federal governments or for that matter for any institution or organization that is subsidized by the government (this world).

  Since you have no choice but to be part of this world while you are living on this world, one might as well exercise thier freewill to make this world the best place it can be!!!

  How can they not vote because of 'no part of this world', but then accept government handouts and use all the programs that 'this world' offers....don't expect a response, just a rant.

  Interesting Local Needs Talk: Don't Invite Studies To "Our" Get Togethers

  i heard that the most recent local needs talk was regarding the evils of having non witnesses at "our" gatherings.

  since there's nothing really for "us" to talk to "them" about, and since "their" conversation will not involve anything to do with "the truth", we should guard against "worldly" association.

  it appears that the cult wants their members totally removed from anyone not a witness.
