Blood Fractions - did this allowance start in 1990??

was getting myself prepared for my wife coming home from the book study this week when blood is going to be discussed.

i have a copy of reasoning from the scriptures and i noticed that it does not mention fractions at all, but it was published in 1985, updated in 1989. was thinking if my wife were to get in a discussion on blood where we could now pull out the reasoning book, possibly even the insight book to see what jehovah says about it, that could at least be a discussion starter on changes in doctrine......even though i know i will get one of two responses...new light, or i am still learning, i am sure you could ask the husband of my study sister about this and he would be very interested to talk to you about it..

thanks sir82, I find it interesting then that the reasoning book does not seem to mention fractions at all, and it was late 80s....

She probably brought him a copy of that 80's Awake that 'predicted' (I use that term loosely) the current economic status.

And then let him know that his time is only temporary because the end is near, so near, right around the corner and there will be no economic crisis, no Soviet Union, no bothers with healthcare in the nusystem of things....

It is amazing what a dub with a bit of money can get away with!!!

And I am sure she dressed quite modestly like she always does......five inch heels.....

My wife who is only a study all but turns her back on the TV when Obama is on.....

What's the Watchtower's position on new members who are divorced?

if a new member was married and divorced for reasons other then adultery, then they got remarried.

and later on during their second marriage they became a witness, how would the watchtower think.

about their marital status?

OK, let me see if I understand that, if you get divorced non-scriptually (no adultery involved), you are not free to remarry...but if you committed adultery and repent, you may be able to remarry?

he loves his music and curiousity got the better of him and he started to google everything about him and jws.

he was also watching a lot of youtube videos.

BTEX, was thinking the same thing, my wife will be going to that tomorrow. I see that the book they are studying mentions fractions, but does not do a real good job of the details, in fact unlike some of the other publications, I don't see where it specifically says that they are from donated blood.

Yep, things done before 'studying the bible' are often done because one did not have association with the Christian Congregation.

Military service, tatoos, sex outside of marriage, non-scriptural divorce....all looked beyond if one wants to become a JW....but better not hold hands or embrace someone one does not plan on marrying (young people ask) once you become a JW......the rules all change.
