  Give us your vote on the Watch Tower's approach to domestic abuse!!

  as you may be aware, the feb 15th watchtower features an experience depicting a 'fairytale' scenario of a violent husband beating his wife, and then mending his ways once she starts to apply bible principles.

  to my knowledge, this is the nineteenth experience of its kind to be published since 1958, and it betrays a disturbing track record of negligence on the part of the watch tower society in failing to properly and consistently deal with such a sensitive and life-or-death issue, which effects untold thousands of women.. the experience, page 29, paragraph 12, reads as follows:.

  selma recalls a lesson she learned from the witness who studied with her.

  have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?

  its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .

  if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

  Running a JW website without getting sued

  hi guys, i want to setup a unique ex-jw/cult site, and i am wondering how you run this site without getting sued?

  last thing i want is to have the stress of a court case that the jw volunteer-lawyers likely will win.

  i'd like to keep a rather low profile.

  I think the site that was shutdown provided access to a lot of current information that was still protected by copywrite.

  recently, since my d/aing, i've heard the same old cobblers has been said to and by my family members.

  (more than likely referring to me).. ''jehovah(tm) will judge.

  I used to give the old "i don't judge or read hearts Jehovah does" as an answer when people would ask if i felt only JW in good standing would live thru the big A.

  Have heard that one from the husband (elder) of the woman who is studying (gag) with my wife.

  Thanks so much for the review Blondie......I guess the lesson is spend all of your time in JW activity and with JWs and you will be fine. Wife went yesterday, will be interesting to see how much she gained from this 'spiritual food'.

  it appears that only men in dress pants and women in skirts will survive.

  So therefore I guess no more wearing of slacks for women or jeans and shorts for anyone, for no one knows when the end will be and one would not want to be dressed improperly to be able to make it through the big A.

  just in the short time I have been reading about the WTS there has been the generation change, the changing of the date of the sealing of the anointed, meeting changes (elimination of the book study), changing the pioneer hour requirements amongst many things. They have survived child abuse scandals, including newspaper articles and tv news casts, and no issue by the people who follow them.

  It seems to me no matter what happens, the followers blindly follow...
