  have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?

  its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .

  if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

  Are JW women becoming a bit more bold, seems to me there is a lot of 'headship' teaching ongoing

  my wife who is in a never ending study seems to be learning a lot about 'headship' lately, and i notice that this weeks okm shows that once again on tms night they are going to emphasize the principles of headship from the reasoning book, page 253 in the english version..

  "Headship" - does that word exist outside the borg?

  Seems to be pretty pecular to them, I am surprised that they are pushing this information to my wife outside of the meetings, does not seem like a drawing point for a woman.

  i told my son that the society is reducing the size of their public edition from 32 pages to 16 pages.

  he asked if they will now call it "half awake!".

  of course, it could be "half asleep!

  the borg is going to phase out big district assemblies - so they can fit 'em in assembly halls.. they will reduce the size of circuits.

  Timing of "thinner magazines" announcement

  the announcement of the reduced number of pages in the watchtower & awake will be made after the watchtower study following the "special talk" on april 8.. theoretically, that's when there will be more visitors and "outsiders" than usual.

  even the talk itself has 1/2 of its content directed at inactive jws.. obviously this reduction in pages has been in the works for several weeks if not months.

  why pick that date to announce it?

  So why they also not put these two publications then in one magazine????

  My guess is its all about the count, if they combine to one the circulation for the two magazines would essentially be cut in half......

  We have a few JW women who hand out old literature outside of our building about once a week (well they stand there and talk to each other while holding old literature), I think a copy of this would really be nice to hand to them, maybe after mentioning how nice it will be that they will not need to be carrying as much next year.

  Best part would be them getting this information before the official, confidential announcement.....
