Yep- My favorite sister when I was growing up is still one of them. Even though all of her family has found out the truth. We all have tried our best to help her see it's not the truth...but,she brushes EVERYTHING off and says oh well. She even may come up with a parrot reply from the org. So, the other day I heard for the first time in my life that our best friend in the whole world 'elder' dad was accused of molestation to a young girl in the cong. I was floored and SHOCKED considering we spent a heck of alot of our youth and teenage years and her house with her dad present. I was sick that the cong covered it over and that he is still an elder today. So, I decided to call my sister and tell her and kinda go into about how the org does this to alot of cases. Of course she had the 'ya right' in her voice. So, I told her I could verify the story since our own dad was one of the elders that talked to the girl. I told her that this happens all the time yada yadda and she said well is this the policy that the society has?? (yes) Then she said well I 've never seen it written. And I am sure that it's just 'bible studies' that are doing this molesting. Oh my word I kinda lost it...and asked her where her heart was for these children. Anyway the moral of my story is I am so fed up with the org and their mind control tatics. They make peoples hearts into stone and their brains in to mush. And I am truly sorry to anyones story that I refused to believe when I was a witness. And I hope that your life is blessed now and that you have come to know the real truth and have been able to move on with your life.

So What Exactly is an Unbaptized Publisher
by MrsBee in.
a lady i know was telling me that she studied for 10 years and was considered an upbaptized publisher before being baptized.. is that possible, i didnt think and organization such as the jw's would let you just soak up all their "knowledge" without becoming one of the crew... :)
although havent been on here in a while since i had my son, i came on here asking for advice because i was having trouble dealing with the fact my husband was thinking about going back to the dubs, and he still hasnt gone back..yayayayayay... and im soooo happy, he still has most of their beliefs , but thats okay, they arent 100% bad, they helped him change his life..but i dont bother him cuz i dont want him runnin back!!!

Blondie pretty much hit it on the head...but,also you can now go out in field service and report your time. It's a big deal for younger ones or 'bible studies' to become one. Cause everyone then knows they're making such fine progress in the 'truth'.

Hi Hawkeye-
I know you ;) from the MPA. Glad to see you here. If you send it do The C.O. he won't get it since they have no mailboxes at the hall. You would have to send it to an elder in St. Point Cong in Care of the C.O. and the elders in charge of the C.O. mail always changes. So, if you find out who that is your in luck.

HI everybody. I just wanted to say Thank you to all those who welcomed me. I am glad to be here! It feels good to know others are going through the same things. If I would have known "apostate" sites were so fun and not from the devil I would have logged on a long time ago. I can't wait to hear everyones stories and experiences. Love, Beatifulisfree

Red eyes
by beautifulisfree injust the other day i had a horrible witness flashback.
i remembered that when my dad was an elder...he would come home from his elder meetings with red eyes.
he also would get red eyes whenever he was mad at the family about something 'spiritual' like how we didn't have the pioneer spirit or how we were wearing to short of dresses (even if they came down to the floor).

So, I was just wondering if anybody knows what I am talking about or has experienced the same thing? Oh the good news is my dad doesn't get red eyes anymore:) I am assuming it's because he's not in cult anymore!

Hi Dan, Count yourself among the lucky ones if you get to 'fade'. Most of my family has tried to fade (so we could still talk to the rest of our witness friends and family)But, that has not happened.(and are now 'disfellowshiped:) The local elders make it very hard for you just to become inactive or in my Dads case just pretend to be depressed. They have badgered us to the extent that we have been tempted to call the cops due to the excessive amount of phone calls and knocks at the door. I also heard that if a person is inactive for an X amount of time the elders can stop at their door and ask them if they wish to still be known as a J.W. I hope which ever one you chose to do works and I really hope your wife see's the real truth and that you can be a support system to each other...because, it is hard when there is still a family member in the org.

Do You Ever Have Dreams About Being A JW?
by minimus ini had one disconcerting dream last night.
i was in a very large assembly hall and explosions started occuring and rather than wanting to leave everyone stayed and chatted like whatever was happening out there was not going to affect them inside.
they were all very smug.

I am so glad I am not the only one...Having 'dreams' about the J.W's I have had so many I wouldn't know where to start and they are always so graphic. When I wake up from them it takes me a few minutes to realize that it isn't real. And afraid to fall back asleep. Because I don't want to have another one. So, I usaully just lay there till I have to get up for work. But, the most recent one I had was that my old hall threw blood all over my yard and wrote 'sinners' in the fresh snow with blood.
