I HATE riding in cars for more then a few hours....it's hard to breath and I get scared. Sometimes I even cry.

Red flags
by beautifulisfree inwhen i was an active witness i never understood why there were 'annointed' women that would be ruling right beside god and helping rule over the whole earth.
but, they were not allowed or good enough to be 'elders' and just rule over a tiny little congregation.
i know now this should have been a red flag for me...but, i just thought oh well this scripture says that men are to be the head of woman.

i asked that question as a kid.
was told that as spirits your neither male or female.
See, now I never heard that...but, then again I didn't dare ask questions as a kid about the society...I was to afraid that it meant that I was questioning God and I would get a BIG spanking from God through the hands of my parents

i had forgot about this teaching (wonder if they have this in print) .

the elders.
the elders, because they were "shepherds and overseers" believed they had the right to talk about you, your family, your job, your personality and so forth.....they pick apart any male in the hall under the guise of seeing whther someone "might qualify for privileges".

True...but, I think the elderettes were the worst!!! If they didn't like sister so and so because she showed to much cleavage or wore her skirt an inch above her ankles those boetch elderettes would let their elder husbands have it and the next day the bad 'sisters' would be talked to or their husband would be talked to if they were married. I honestly think that being in service all day they had nothing better to do then talk about others. Cause God knows service was as boring as He!! Oh and of course they were better and more spiritual then anyone else.

therefore what the bible says at matthew 24:34 is not the real reason they believed it.
here too the real reason will only show up if the society ever changes what it teaches about blood transfusions.

Question about jw burials
by damselfly ini have a friend whose mom was df'd when he was still a baby.
his dad was a witness as well but sadly died when my friend was just a infant.
his question to me on the weekend was why can't non jws (or df'd) .

To tell you the truth although I haven't personally heard of this..I do see the 'witness reasoning' behind it. Here it goes: A disfellowshipped person is DEAD in God's eye and will not gain eternal life therefore after armegeddon and during the resurection it would be of no use at all to see the df'ed ones grave right next to yours and know they won't be in paradise with you. Or something like that...Sorry, but it's giving me a headache trying to think like them...So, I am going to stop!!
