The huge stack of magazines we had my kids used for paper mache projects. My husband insists on keeping some of the larger bound books for research and a NWT. It's that darn NWT that makes me mad...that's the publication I'd love to toss. The rest of the books are slowly making there way to the trash bin.

How did you dispose of your JW books? (Or did you?)
by exwitless inlittle drummer boy and i have a small house and we do not have room for the wasted space all of these books are creating.
here's a brief rundown of what we have:.
several nwt hardcover bibles, chinese bibles (lots of chinese students in our town), insight on the scriptures, concordances, a few bound volumes, song books, km books, reasoning books, the entire bible on audio tape, and more.

What gender it is...
by Nicolas in# ziploc bags - male, because they hold everything in,but you can always see right through them.. .
# copier - female, because once turned off, it takes a while to warm up.
it is an effective reproductive device when the right buttons are pushed.

Love it! Very creative for a Sunday. The remote control being female made me laugh out loud--you hit that on dead on.

The Lord's prayer, why JW's never say it
by moomanchu inwe all know it's not an issue if people say the lord's prayer or not, but except for the fact that jw's make it an issue.
to them it's kinda like the boogie man and to say it makes you part of christendom, ripe for destruction.. this thread is in response to another thread.i finally took some time to look into information to make a reply.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/130602/2.ashx.
a jw commented on that thread.

It is certainly a nicer prayer than the repetitious drivel that served for prayers in the KH. Some of which were quite long and meandering
Yes, going on and on about all the wonderful provisions from the faithful and discreet slave and the WTS. I'm sorry, but where does Jesus mention that in his model prayer?

Christians - Does a JW baptism count as Christian?
by AK - Jeff ini tend to accept that mine did - i was baptised prior to the changes that made one a 'watchtower disciple'.
my dedication was and is to god - prob the reason i am finally out.. opinions?.

Part of the vows involve loyalty to the Watchtower organization
This alone would void the validity as counting as a baptisim into christianity.

Whats the strangest thing you've seen someone get in trouble for?
by LaniB ini remember one windy summer day, after a meeting on sunday morning, i walked out of the hall behind a sister who was part of the church congregation with her two teenage children.
her husband did not attend.
the wind caught her dress unexpectedly and blew it up a'la marilyn monroe and revealed that she was wearing (shock, horror) french knickers...... there were a few murmers behind me which i at the time put down to things like "oh poor girl, so embarrassing".

My son was drug into the "back room" after a meeting because someone supposedly saw him walking down main street with his friend who appeared drunk. He wasn't. His friend is just a big goof ball that acts like one. It was witch hunt really. This was the third and last time the elders did this to my baptized son. After this my son never went back to the KH and is now living a free life like the rest of us--yeah!

ninja, my heart really feels for you. I'm going thru the same thing. It is beyond me how our families' can be so blind despite all the evidence the WTS is a big fraud. Somedays I feel as though there is fire cracker in my gut that is going to explode. When are these feelings we have going to ease, or how can we channel these feelings into something else more productive.
