the only enlightenment or new light is coming from the few in brooklyn, new york.

I too was at this WT study and all the answers were cookie cutter, from the paragraph answers. I mentioned in another post how during the paragraph about the change of the "superior authorities" understanding I was tempted to comment on how it was really a reversal of a previous change, didn't comment though. One comment a brother made really struck me though, he was commenting on blood transfusions and he said something to the effect of "The watchtowers view on blood shows how Jehovah's "new light" protects his people, only now is the medical community coming to understand the drawback and dangers of blood transfusions, something Jehovah's Witnesses have know for a long time". I about threw up in my lap! Here is a brother, with no medical training or experience, commenting on the medical communities view of blood transfusions!!??? COMPLETE BS! Yet he, and most other JW's believe this crap so they can justify letting their children, spouse and themselves die needlessly because of some man made, bullshit doctrine.

Well, I just finished Crisis of Conscience (except for the appendix). Really eye opening! I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the chapters describing his expulsion but he seemed to present it fairly and extremely accurately. It amazed me that the people he worked so close with for so many years, even his friends, turned on him so quickly and refused to help in any way when he most needed it. It makes me feel ashamed of the ones I’ve known who have been DF’d and I shunned them. I really has reaffirmed to me that the org. is just a man made, man lead organization. They add to and twist the bible when convenient. The changes and decisions they make rarely have any real scriptural support, in fact, the changes are usually decided on then scriptures are found that can support it. I was thinking about it a lot during meeting yesterday. The Watchtower article we were studying had to do with “New Light” and how it is such a blessing. It talked about past “new light” changes and how the bible supported them (one of them had to do with the change on the view of the “superior authorities. The old understanding was it was Jehovah and Jesus and it was change to the Nations of the earth. I wanted to raise my hand and comment that this change was actually a revival of the original teaching before it was changed to the now “old light”. As if Jehovah gave the original teaching, correct light, then changed it turning off the light so to speak, then changed it back turning the light back on. I didn’t raise my hand though)
I am also amazed at the similarities between JW’s and Catholics. The Watchtower loves to bash Catholicism for things it itself is guilty of. I was reading and old WT article last night that dealt with the Bible and Science. From the beginning it was a catholic bashing article yet almost every thing they accused the catholics of they themselves are guilty, the most amazing one being the harshness with which both organizations deal with different or apposing views. The WT chastises the catholics for this yet is blind to it’s own rafter of DF’ing for so called apostasy. I also really appreciated the end of the book where he talks about where do we go when leaving the org. This is a question I face. He sums it up nicely by saying we don’t need an organization. Jesus invited everyone to come to him, we don’t need a man-made organization for that. In fact it is a man made organization that has really alienated it’s followers from Jesus. I have never felt any spirituality or personal relationship with God and His Son. This is the major reason I have never been motivated or sincere in my life as a JW. The book really has helped me to realize what I know is true of the JW org. It has also given me confidence that whatever the future hold for me as I fade I have my whole life ahead of me without the fear of destruction or guilt.

god, being all knowing, surely would have known that man would be able one day to devise this horrible act.
so, why not create us so that we are unable to live with someone else's blood in our system???

Sorry, what I meant was being able to accept the 4 major componants (Red Blood cells, White blood cells, Patelets and Plasma) but not all together (whole blood).

Because we all know the borg is a giant turd floating in the pool of humanity.
That said, I think it will be either the annointed selection ending in 1935 (which is hardly even known by most newcomers. Or a lightening, once again, on the blood policy. Possibly being able to accept all blood fractions just not whole blood.

I heard them at a JW wedding once. This was a few years before the "warning" came out about them. I believe they were arranged by some brothers in Germany (???). They were actually pretty cool for Kingdom Melodies, God knows you can't have any cool sounding Kingdom Melodies. Any sort of creativity in worship is abviously offensive to Jehovah. I could have got a copy from friends before the "warning", not now though.

Depends on the bulb. Is it a lamb like bulb or and independent thinking bulb? If it is a lamb like bulb it may take only 1 person but it will take at least 6 months to a year before the bulb gets screwed………in. First you have to visit the bulb unexpectedly talk to it, overcome any conversation stoppers. Then you drop of the latest issues of the WT & AW mags. every couple weeks. Finally you ask the bulb if it would like to be changed. If it agrees you change it then tell the new bulb if it ever goes out you will never speak to it again and will consider it dead and unworthy to talk to.
If it is an independent thinking bulb? Don’t go near it, don’t even look at it. It is a snare laid by Satan. If you even approach the bulb it may snare you and you will end up in the darkness as well.

to put is simply. Jesus is the Salvation manufacturer and the JW Org. is the dealer (according to them). The Org tells you can't get the new 2006 Salvation unless you go to the dealer. The dealer is marking the price way up and the financing they offer has too high an interest rate. The argument is, does Jesus who makes the Salvation need or want a dealer?
