Bill Bailey is a phenominal talent. Very clever indeed!
Not sure Americans would get him though, he's VERY British.

even if you aren't click on this and watch his 'proper ballad'.
anyone who has been in love will be able to relate to this.
and any songwriter will find it difficult to write a love song after hearing it.

as i said in another post: actions speak louder than words.
muslims were angered by the pope's quoting a 14th century writer who said that muslims are violent in nature.. in order to disprove this statement many muslims took too the streets shouting violent slogans and burned an effigy of the pope.
still more muslims demonstrated that they are not violent by firebombing random churches.. yup... actions speak louder than words.
I'm sure that the idea of living under this type of Islamic Law chills us all to the bone but it's not much different to what Ancient Israelites were subjected to.
Not much different to the world we hoped for and so zealously preached about.
Whiskey anyone??

there is an article on yahoo news today that says buddhists now-number over 1.5 million in the us, compared to about 1 million jws, and that they grew 170% in the 1990s.
here are a couple of points they make in the article:.
"what is drawing people (after that fascination with zen buddhism in the '50s and '60s)?
Buddhism appeals to me, although i haven't gone that deeply into it yet.
I think i'm correct in saying that Buddha means Enlightened One. That's all i need.
I'm not particularly searching properly as yet (although i am reading a book by the late Barry Long on Meditation) but when i'm ready, the Buddhist way will very possibly be something i use as a guide.

Regardless of what the Qur'an teaches, the simple reality is that I would be killed by a mob if I walked down the streets of a Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Afghanistan or any other "Muslim State" wearing a t-shirt that said: "Infidel" in both English and Arabic.
I have known quite a few Moslems and nice ones too but the above statement, IMO truly reflects the collective mindset of this sinister movement.
Dismembered earlier related the fatwa that was placed upon Salman Rushdie's head a few years ago for his book The Satanic Verses. Rushdie had used his own freedom of speech to write a fictitious book and ended up with a price on his head. The book by the way is not blasphemous to a Moslem who recognises both free speech and artistic intent.
Here in the UK Moslem mobs took to the streets, jumping up and down, publicly burning the book and baring their collective teeth. Had they read the book? Well i would say that the vast majority hadn't. Those evil bastards would have ripped Rushdie to bits if he'd turned up on the street. He had to spend the next few years in a secret location in fear of his life.
Roy Harper an English singer/songwriter was inspired to write 'The Black Cloud of Islam' following the Rushdie Affair.
Islam is indeed a Black Cloud over the earth!
We are years on from the Rushdie Affair and it continues to grow in strength. Whilst the evil intent may come from a minority, the majority are always too quick to join in with chillingly ill-educated minds.
Islams' adherents largely have no tolerance for free speech and the UK is currently under it's whip, bending and bowing to its whims which are cleverly shrouded in terms of 'equality'. For pity's sake, some schools are scared to put up Christmas Trees in Moslem dominated schools for fear of offending the pupils.
In 20 years time the UK will be a shit hole....i will not be here.
Just to balance this out, Christianity doesn't have a much dissimilar record, as we know.

Sounds like a great trip!
I've been through Kastrup airport a few times on the way to see my brother in Sweden. The Danes are a nice bunch.
Edinburgh?? What a stunning city!! That, my dear will be a real treat.
Aberfeldy? J.K. Rowling of Harry Potter fame lives there in a huge mansion (or did a short while back). Also, the oldest tree in the UK is there, an old Yew (over 3,000 yrs old) that i think is in the grounds of the church.
The tallest tree in the UK is just down the road in Dunkeld. It's a Douglas Fir at over 200 feet high and can be found on the way to Ossians Falls on the 'forest walk'. Can you tell i'm a 'nature boy'?
Also in Dunkeld is a bar called Macleans on the banks of the majestic River Tay and owned by the Scots singer/songwriter Dougie Maclean. You will find genuine Scots music being played there but ring ahead to find out when, should be on Friday/Saturday nights. There's a Gold disc on the wall in the bar for his contribution to the soundtrack of Last of the Mohicans. I was also fortunate enough to have him play fiddle on a song of mine when i was there once.
Good times ahead.

this sounds strangely similar to janet jackson's "wardrobe failure" publicity stunt.
is it a dog's leg?
I can see the funny side but i feel sorry for the sad bastards that complained about this in the first place.
You'd have to be completely pissed, on mescalin or downright fookin' loopy to see a cock in that picture.

i work in an environment at work that is a mix of adult ranging in age from 18-50. there are 300 plus people in the building, and that means you get a lot of soap operas happening from people sleeping with other people's girlfriends, boyfriends and even people cheating on their spouses with people they work with.
among the bunch is a large group of people who spend a lot of time passing themselves around, and sampling many sexual partners.
of the people who i know, i have often found that many do not seem as happy as one might think.
for the record i will be having sex with single women only
Now there's a sensible lad!!
A friend of mine is currently messing about with women that are in relationships.
I keep warning him but to no avail.
If he carries on like he is doing, he's gonna get the shit kicked out of him one day.
When i was younger and stupider, i had a fling with a butchers wife.....happily i still have my balls. Foolish me!!

It all boils down to our own personal choice and what we see as 'morally right' or 'normal behaviour'.
I don't know whether promiscuity can be linked to depression but i would probably link it to insecurity.
Personally i don't really get why people bounce from one partner to the next like they're shopping for a car. I think that type of behaviour can be damaging to both parties and IMO it's not normal to act like this.
As i see it, sex with no connection or any kind of feelings (and here i'm refering to doing as many partners as possible) renders us base and animalistic. We are higher, much higher than animals. Therein lies the rub!
