inspired by one of the other threas on todays board i was remindedof what the po of my 'then' cong' said just befors i left for good.. can't remember what the subject was but he ended up quite proudly announcing.....'if jehovah asked me to.....i would have no trouble killing someone, i would find it easy'!!

stunned silence.......this man is now a circuit overseer!

the phrase 'crazed extremist' comes to mind.. what was the most unbelievable, outrageous thing that was uttered in your earshot.

Hangover Cures

force down a drink (not really a viable option now days.

Erm...this may sound a bit weird nut the Romans used to use it, it got 10 out of 10 in a poll/survey as the best cure and i always use it and it works!! In the morning you eat anything from the 'cabbage' family' like broccolli or cauliflower or ...cabbage. It has special agents that de-tox the liver. If you're really badly hung over you might not be able to keep it down tho.

for me it was the insensitive and unfeeling way they treated me whilst dfed....for 4 yrs.

i tried and tried to please....but to no avail.. what capped it all off for you...tell me your experiences.

The 1914 issue keeps being mentioned and you're all right...it was and is ludicrous. It never really sat properly with me. My brother lives in Sweden, he's also DFed and when i told him about it he laughed out in utter disbelief....and he REALLY used to be zealous. Bad, BAD WTBTS.

Wow...awesome posts, great stories people! Tetrapod that quote is mind-numbing..i've never seen that before. Yes Cog i'm with you on your story and now i understand your name..very clever and sooo true. Hey Still Angry, they really f##ked about with your head...no wonder you're er...still angry.

I never mentioned that the real BIG penny drop for me was when the PO told my beloved 15 yr old son to 'cut me off' because i was DFed. He did for a time but it messed him up so much that he started cutting himself and self harming coz he was going through so much sadness and grief. He's ok now, no thank thanks to that 'piece of shit' elder who, if i ever see him again, will be on the 'canvas' before he can pick up his briefcase and run. He moved away 2 weeks after his deed....to become a cicuit overseer!!

Oh...my...god...whoever that is!!! Just read Going GG's post about the coat in the KH. What...a bunch...of freaks. This has been the best question since i joined the forum. Brilliant!! It's all true though...the lock that this freeeeeky superstition had on us all. There's one in a yearbook...maybe 2000 that tellls of a bethel somewhere that had demon trouble. They traced it to a coin that had been 'nailed' to the floor by some previous owner. When it was removed ...the demon trouble stopped. Why did i believe this ......somebody hit me in the head with a MALLET.

IMBA, a JW that posts on this forum is ....yes i agree 'crying for help', or something very similar. They shouldn't be here if they believe and follow what the WTBS say. If they are here they are having apostate thoughts. That said....i still welcome them.

Witness and Food Stamp Scam

hi everyone, been reading here for a long time and have to say how much i enjoy all of your stories, insight and opinions.

this is my first time posting but i remembered something today that i thought was worth sharing.

when i was a teenager and going to the hall (i successfully faded about seventeen years ago), there was a family who would come to the hall in all their sunday finery (better clothes than we can afford), drove up in their nice luxury vehicle etc.

That's a gooooood, bright question Minimus. Wow, at one time i was soooo paranoid! It really is quite stupid howbad it became...like some of our friends have said, wind chimes, toasting glasses etc etc. My ex-wife and i once went on a return call, years ago...he was a sweet old guy,really kind, but because he had some weird looking ornaments we got worried. Just before we left he gave us 3 or 4 bottles of home made wine...as a GIFT. We dumped them in a bin further up the road. What the hell did we think was gonna happen? I dunno maybe we'd end up with demonised piss or something. Bloody Hell i feel liberated now. I look forward to more of your corker questions.
