Along with Tommy Emmanuel
WaaaaHey!!
Bloody Hell someone has AT LAST mentioned the greatest guitar player on the planet.
The Aussie genius tours non-stop, so catch him near you in the next year or so. You will never look at the guitar in the same way again.
There's lots of good guitarists in this list but too much attention to the bloody heavy rock shredders that say NOTHING through the instrument.
Believe me, i've been playing for 27 yrs.
Oh and a tip of the hat to Hilary Step for mentioning Richard Thompson, a genius beyond compare and my greatest influence. Check out 'Hard On Me' from his 1999 album MOCK TUDOR. Turn up the volume and stand well back!!

1 cor 5:10,11 one scripture interpreted by one single man.....fred franz......a man locked up at at bethel with hardly any family has literally destroyed family relationship all over the world.
hitler or fred franz who has done more damage to humanity?
If I listen to a moron and do what he says, thats my fault not his.
Is that strictly true IP SEC?
I see where you're coming from but the young, inexperienced and genuinely 'hudwinked' can't really be attributed as much fault as you might be suggesting.
Unfortunately some total shitheads are very good at taking a ride on other people's backs.
The older we get, the more wily and cynical we become.
Only with knowledge can we have the equipment to deal with morons and imposters.
If we have the knowledge and still fall prey, then we can attribute full fault to ourselves.
Just a thought.

...the phone rings.
the witness answers it and someone is on the other end, but they are speaking in french.
luckily the witness speaks french.
And I believed the one about the sister who knocked on the door of a violent rapist/murderer who has just raped/murdered/canibalised the occupant of the house but who did not attack the sister because as he told the police later of the two burly men (
Crumpet, i remember that one too.
Ooooh dear, yes i believed it too.
In the cold light of day, when you hear stuff like the one Gilberto related........it's quite likely that they were made up. Or at least greatly distorted in the good old 'Chinese Whispers' fashion, the latter probably being the more plausible IMO.
Exited publishers full of.........'spirit' relating these stories to one another, there's always gonna be one TWONK that embelishes so that peoples ears prick up. Sad.

my first cars were all "manual" and they were small cars, cheap on gas.. then later on in life, i spoiled myself and bought automatic cars.. last week, i tried a manual yaris, and wasn't that comfortable with the manual transmission.
maybe it's the fact that i didn't drive a manual car in 6 years.. just wondering if anyone here after driving automatic transmission cars since many years, if you would come back to manual..
Yeah.....but ....the car's lovely.....and........it's....
Oh balls, yer right. I must admit i wasn't quite as aroused when i saw the gear stick. Nice loooong bonnet though.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,,1860765,00.html .
to summarise a mormon group broke away from the main church when they gave up polygamy, and about 10 000 of them followed this man who took over leadership from his father.
the followers were allowed no tv, newspapers or outside influences, children were taught the leader was divinely oerdained and infallible and young girls were 'shared out' sexually between him and his buddies leaders.
Y'know i never was that keen on the Mormons. I much prefer the Moomins. No raping, psycotic tossers on that programme.
Hector's House was best though. Sorry is this a serious thread??..............

A customer and friend of mine has just bought a 1973 V12 E-Tpye Jaguar........in British Racing Green. Even describing it makes my tongue hang out!!
I must admit though, to being slightly disappointed when i saw the AUTOMATIC gears. He's not bothered though and i don't suppose i would be. 160mph, dripping with sex and one of the coolest cars to ever come off the line. The ultimate posers car. I WANT ONE !!
Two words FANNY and MAGNET.

my boomer generation was reared in front of a tee-vee set.
our view of life on planet earth (not to mention elsewhere) is framed inside a rectangle of voyeurism.
movies consisted of a larger rectangle with better sound and cushier seats.
Terry you Rock!
You already know i think that though.
By the way, Casablanca is my all time favourite film. A MASTERPIECE!! For more than just the brilliance of the acting and direction. DAMN i love that film!!!
I'm also buying The Fountainhead this weekend. I'll let ya know my verdict soon.

ok, it is time to salute the "flag".. .
actually i need a little bit of your support and or suggestions.. my son moved in to college (sdsu) this past weekend and although i'm very proud of him i'm starting to miss him.
Flag
My kids were taken from me 8 yrs ago when their mother left and so i felt the emptiness way back then. My eldest is 19 soon and goes to university in September and although he doesn't live with me, still comes around.
I'll miss him dearly but it's all part of that weird pain/pleasure thing that we as parents willingly take part in.
Peace and a calm heart to ya

i have not been an active witness active for several years now.
so are the women still being forced to wear skirts and dresses still?
i really think that the whole dress thing has been for some time now very outdated.

Listen, the Stepford Wives may one day start a fashion craze and you'll be at the forefront.......how about that!!
But then the WTS would probably have you wearing bloody yashmacks or something.
