BORN-INS! What Were The Most Annoying Quotes Your Parents Would Say?
by OneStepOut93 inregarding worldly people, shows or toys?
etc...what quotes annoyed you the most?.
for me it was "well, you have to remember, they're worldly"... "don't trust anyone who isn't in the truth" "they may be nice but they are not friends of jehovah"... just a few to name.

I can't be the only one to observe that this character assassination against Bill Bowen bears unmistakeable similarities in writing style to articles on JWSurvey.

A Message to Active Elders Lurking on JWN
by 00DAD inthere are really only a couple of reasons an active elder would be lurking here on jwn.. .
[if !supportlists]i. your ever growing doubts about the organization have led you here, or.
[if !supportlists]ii.

Bravo, 00DAD!
I can't speak for others on JWN, but I'd like to point out to lurking elders that I have no qualms with any individual Witnesses or congregations. Most whom I've known for 40+ years (since pre-1975) are sincere worshippers who are stuck on a hamster wheel of rehashed meetings and unproductive field service, just trying in their heart-of-hearts to avoid displeasing Jehovah. Waiting patiently for an Armageddon that's yet to arrive just one year scant of 2014, some have passed away faithful in the interim.
I was raised in "The Truth", never baptized, never disfellowshipped. I choose to ignore your "authority" as elders. It has no bearing on my life whatsoever. However I do have family still mentally/emotionally trapped in the Watchtower's web of deceit, as I once was too. And they live on your every word spoken from the platform, every ounce of counsel given personally to deal with hardships and "endure to the end."
For that, I most certainly DO hold you accountable as chosen representatives of the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society. (Read Isaiah 32:2)
It is the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society's teachings that have splintered otherwise loving and intact families, curtailed rewarding lives and careers, denied proper education, dishonored females, and destroyed children's precious innocence. It is the WTBTS that has replaced Jesus with needless fear and endless demands for veneration of themselves, the "Slave," the "organization."
And as someone who has accepted a leadership position within the WTBTS, you bear legal responsibility for these crimes before mankind, and an even more so, before your creator. Yes, YOU.
No different than if you were a manager employed by a "worldly" company whose owners knowingly sell spoiled food, or market dangerous, life-threatening products to an unsuspecting public.
When you discover you've worked for "Corporation Evil" all along — through no fault of your own —
Does your Bible-trained conscience kick in? Does it allow you to stay on the job?
Or do you thoroughly research the issues involved like a Berean at Acts 17:11 and resign your duties with integrity before both God and humanity?
I am not asking you to leave the only family and friends you have ever known. I am asking you to do some research, or "due diligence" as we say in the business world, about the publishing company you volunteer for. I simply suggest that you step down if the results are not in alignment with your Bible-trained conscience.
Thanks for reading this far. So many vital topics to consider (and a few you may have never even heard about) are thoroughly covered at jwfacts.com. -

You still didn't answer my question.
You put Nordic countries up as advanced cultures with no qualifiers. Seems a tad bit racist to me, considering the U.S. is so mixed and that's never going to change going forward. -

What you are suggesting sounds racist, designs.
Nordic supremacy, and all. Is that where you're going? -

And… The perp was recently released from prison, after numerous prior arrests.
The Long Island native, who now lives in Gwinnett County, was released from the Gwinnett jail in late August after serving six months for simple battery and three counts of probation violation.
Slater has six other arrests in Gwinnett dating back to 2008, according to jail records.

The very first time I was called up for jury duty, it was for a home invasion. I was familiar with the case because it took place in the town where I worked. The resident was able to free herself and give a description of the getaway car. A high-speed chase ensued just as I was leaving for my evening commute, and it was total madness. This was 5 minutes over the GW bridge in one of the mostly densely populated areas on planet earth.
I was rejected as juror because I had a family member who was a superior officer in law enforcement. I continued to follow the case in the papers with interest. Home invasion, high-speed chase which put a lot of innocent people in harm's way. The media made it out like the police were foolish to pursue and apprehend the perp, who, BTW, was an illegal crimmigrant from a Communist nation where the populace was de-armed decades ago.
You know, one of those Utopian places where violent acts supposedly never happen. Not like *their* gubbermint-owned media doesn't suppress free speech, human rights, or deny ingrained cultural violence resulting from oppression.
Anyway, it came out in later in court that the piece-of-shit perp didn't just break into the home to steal their stuff, he tied grandma to a chair, and raped her 11-year-old granddaughter right in front of her on the living room rug.
Most home invasion rapes are never reported in the news, to protect the victims, especially when minors are involved. There are more than enough instances of home invaders maiming/torturing/killing family pets just for the sheer pleasure of it, too.
The media would have us believe these lovelies just knock on random doors asking to borrow a cuppa' sugar to bake a birthday cake while wielding a frikkin' crowbar. Should the resident just sit back and say, "Please, have a go at my babies, too" ? -

So, the NHL is back...

We're tentative about rewarding the NHL with our hard-earned dollars when we've just as easily attended excellent concerts instead throughout their troubles. Simply tired of being taking for granted.
What really pi$$es me off, is all the *other* jobs that were affected for months on end. The workers who serve food, pour beer, clean the restrooms, parking attendants, security, etc. They have to make a living off these games as well, and nobody gave a damn if they could eat or make rent in the meantime.
Epic fail on that part, and we fans have to suck it up, paying out extra welfare and food stamps to people who work terrifically hard for low wages to begin with. My heart really goes out to them for making every game experience run so well as it does, no matter who is playing or who wins.
Still… The little hockey devil in me can't wait to pump my fist in the air and shake my a$$ to this again:
