Never baptized into the Organization, therefore never disfellowshipped. Indoctrinated since infancy to just over 30 years.
Today I am like Satan in the Book of Job, having access to both heaven and earth (let the reader use discernment.)

.....disfellowshipping, i think.. potential disfellowshipping, current disfellowshipping, disfellowshipping of people we love.. it's the most genius cult tool ever invented..

The man reportedly shouted that Satan should get behind him as he tried to open the aircraft's door.
He quoted Jesus at Matthew 16:23:
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

i hear a lot, both on this forum and elsewhere, about all kinds of things jehovah's witnesses believe.
but i've never felt that outsiders were a good source of information about what faithful watchtowers actually believe.
in fact, i've discovered that the worst source of information about a religion is from those who were members but left the faith.
From one of Chas Hathaway's websites:
I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My religion is very dear to me, and represents the basis for all I do.
I will stand by my faith under all circumstances, and will be loyal to it in everything I say and do.

people, here are the atheist's 21 commandments.
it would be interesting to know how many people on this board disagree with them or find them wrong.. 1. we are committed to the application of reason and science to the understanding of the universe and to the solving of human problems.
2. we deplore efforts to denigrate human intelligence, to seek to explain the world in supernatural terms, and to look outside nature for salvation.
Commandments for atheists? You've got to be kidding!
Who or what AUTHORITY issued them? Can you be kicked out the the Atheists if you don't OBEY the COMMANDMENTS?
BTW, These are ripped off directly from Affirmations of Humanism: A Statement of Principles.
Big difference!

Mr. B's first name is the same as my father's... we've been a couple for 14 years, yet it's still VERY weird to me to call his name.

please, please, please let the libertarians, republicans and their offshoot the tea party, run on this issue.
oh my heavens what a joy it would be to line up all the runners and tell half of the americans - the vast majority of those who actually live on their social security, that they want to take it away.
abolish it.
thomas15, you have a PM.
