What would happen if the full allocation of places were filled with people who were genuine about it? Would it become a first come, first served basis?

i recall an elderly sister who was a sandwich short in the lunch box who insisted on partaking at the memorial.

Ha ha, few years back I attended a memorial. After being asked for years by relatives ("just come with us and see it for yourself") I eventually gave in, after all there was nothing on the television that night. I wish I could tell you my experience of it but I was in that close state of half asleep, half awake throughout. What I do recall though was being brought round to conciousness by a plate being thrust into my hand by a person sitting beside me. Having visions of being in a Catholic mass I proceeded to munch my way through the bread, *gasp* *tut* *shock* and all eyes were on me! I thought I had been talking in my sleep. matters werent made any better when, after I was explained to about what I had done, I began to laugh and laugh....and laugh all the way through the remainder of the service. Next time I'll just shove some cash on the plate!

the other day her jw friend's parents apparently made an announcement to her and her 10 year old brother that this year they would be celebrating christmas for the first time.
there could be a number of reasons behind this of course, including a bit of fabrication due to wishful thinking.

My mother was DF before I was born so I never had this problem. My close cousin's parents though were DF when he was twelve years old. He is younger than me and they attended Christmas dinner at our house for the first time that year. It was a really strange affair, hard to explain really. I remember feeling, strangely enough, very,very guilty and a touch of embarresment. I remember us all trying to make the day an extra special one for him, and it must have felt like a huge anti-climax. Nowadays christmas for him isn't really a big thing as it would be for me. I dont think the idea of christmas being about time with your your family and friends etc has any relivance to him. A true shame, what is the harm in having a once a year celebration of your loved ones because lets face it, who actually celebrates anything religious at christmas?

Q. At what age do you come back back to live in "paradise on earth"? Is everyone born again as babies? Do you stay the age at which you were at the time of armegeddon? So would you have to spend eternity living with a child that is older than yourself? This is a question I like to have alot of fun with.
As for costume, try going completley naked and declare yourself a naturist with a sincere interest in the truth.

Ok the half brother cannot become monarch agreed, but would the government and church still want the future King to have any Muslim relations? Especially if they had prior knowledge (and heres another conspiracy theory) about the troubles between the West and Muslims today?

"Secret" documents released a few years ago, detailed that under the Thatcher government intelligence survices planned for the assisnation of Colnel Gaddafi of Libya. The plans included a ultra bright flashing light to be planted in a tunnel which his chaffeur driven limosine was due to pass through. Obviously this never happened, but it shows the plans were about somewhere.

I think this story is highly plausable. If the reports of Princess Di and Dodi being engaged and apparently expecting a baby were true, then deffinatly. Imagine the picture, William the King of England with an Arab Muslim half brother. And further... William and Harry die in a freak skiing accident, does the Arab Muslim half brother become king of England and Head of the Church of England?? hmmmm

the lifestyle i lead has caused me to become a "black sheep" and i am limited to a couple of phone-calls a year, which suits me just fine.

Thank you all for the welcome. Well I have many stories to share and a lot of time to share them. It really is a shame I find that an organisation which I think have good at heart, continues to live by pre-historic guidlines. You would think that they would be becoming more tollerant especially when you consider the fact that it is an ageing religion, and i dont see kids rushing out to "recruit". I had to laugh as someone stated their partner had "joined up", this sounds so looming. I can see the posters plastered across walls now...."Uncle Jehovah Wants You!", with a big pointed hand.
And sorry Matt, but thats modern technology for you, oh the joy of camera phones....bet you never even saw me snap you?
