Yes, I watched this live yesterday. The check list part was probably where I felt a little "queezy", then towards the end of the check list, with him just about to jump, gave me goose bumps. I was completely amazed, not something I would ever want to do. I prefer watching others do it. :)

our friend, oompa, has passed away.
just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.
it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.
I am just reading this now. So sad for OOMPA. Always felt him really speaking in his posts.

Ground Hog Day - filmed mostly in Woodstock, IL. I am in the square all the time. I think of Bill Murray & Andie McDowell everytime I walk around there, quite cute and charming.

my new favorite show is the voice where the judges do not see the person singing, they have their chairs turned around and cannot see the contestant.
they are only listening to the qualities of their voices.
if they want to mentor them, they will turn their seat around, and then the contestant gets to pick who he or she would like as a musical celebrity to work with them.. what's your favorite show?.

lets start from the very beginning.. i owe my life to jehovahs witnesses.
more important than what he was saying was who he was.
i wonder how many posters here are not only in recovery from spiritual abuse (jws) , but other traumas,, such as sexual and physical abuse,,, or rape as a young person (ie, child or teen).. .
how many of us are recovering from double - or triple - trauma ... ?.

I was in the modern day drama in 1987or 88 (close enough), I was 13 years old at the time. I played a worldly girl named Dolly Winters. She went to school with a JW boy. So the story between Dolly and the JW boy was one thing. My parents played in the same drama as JW couple on the fence, in the end they decided to serve Jah 100% and as for Dolly.....you know the drill....she started studying with the witnesses and became a loyal servant of Jehovah !!! Yahoo.
It was days, weeks, of preparation. I have to say I had fun, it was a really good time actually. But I did not have fun because of "serving Jah", I had fun because it was like being a celebrity in JWville there for awhile. What 13 year old would not like the attention, you know?

i dont think any of us are glad we grew up in the org.
but i was thinking about people who get cancer, and if they are lucky enough to beat it often they will say that they were better for the experience.
before they got cancer they were stressed because they had to work extra hours in a shitty job to make ends meet, the kids were nothing but trouble and they spent their lives wishing that time would go faster, that week would be over, that the year would be over.
I attribute that I have always been in sales since I left the org in 1992.
I figured if I can sell the JW literature, then I sell anything!
