Is Street Corner Work Dead ???
by Poztate inyears ago my wife and i used to spend an hour every saturday morning between 8-9 at the street corner work?
at 9am we would proceed to the group for the pep talk and then put in at least another two hours in service?
we were not the only ones in the street corner work.

Here they stand on the corner or sit on benches drinking coffee, talking to each other and counting time.
I watch them standing in front of the Kingdom Hall laughing, talking on their cell phones counting time.
They walk for blocks conversating with one another, ignoring passersby...still counting time.
It's all about the quantity of time they can put on their monthly time slip. Quality doesn't matter.
I've approached some let people pass by without saying anything and asked them is that field service?
Are you counting time letting people pass by? It's fun putting them on the spot.

Why are the world's anointed not called to Brooklyn to be Governing Body?
by free2beme inwhen i was in the witnesses, and near the end of my time in.
there was the whole new understanding, of putting non-anointed people in positions in the organization that were normally something an anointed person would be in.
i remember them mentioning that the amount of anointed was dwindling and there needed to be people in these positions of responsibility, to make sure the work continues.. after this was highlighted and all good witnesses swallowed this thinking hook line and sinker.

If I was of the annointed I woudld want to know why the GB doesn't consult with me
when making decisions, especially since they claim to represent the annointed earthwide.
How can you represent me when you don't even acknowledge me?

Ridiculous hypocritical retoric
by parlay in22 as god?s organization grows, more elders are appointed.
they, as well as the more experienced elders, must understand that their position is one of humble service.
in this way, as god moves his organization toward the new world, it will continue to grow as he wants?well organized but not sacrificing love and compassion for efficiency.

As God?s organization grows, more elders are appointed. They, as well as the more experienced elders, must understand that their position is one of humble service. In this way, as God moves his organization toward the new world, it will continue to grow as he wants?well organized but not sacrificing love and compassion for efficiency. Thus, his organization will become increasingly attractive to sheeplike ones who will see in it evidence that "God makes all his works cooperate together for the good of those who love God." That is to be expected from an organization founded on love, because "love never fails."?Romans 8:28; 1 Corinthians 13:8.
So does the fact that the organization is not growing mean that God is notmoving this organization towards the new world?
What does the fact that the organization has become increasingly unattractive, is hemmorraging members and its hyprocrisy is being exposed reveal?
So we should expect love on the part of the organization? Well why have so many done just that and instead of love received authoritarian dictates with the threats of expulsion for having a brain and being able to think for themselves?

Say You're a Bethelite & Monitoring JWD - How Would You Feel About THESE??
by Seeker4 ini'm talking about the new posters, like kitten whiskers, who started posting today (hope this works: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/120817/1.ashx).
and it seems like we're getting a few like this nearly every day.
people who were raised jws, really worry that they are doing the right thing in leaving, yet who have been made to feel not good enough by the wts, who felt they never measured up, who struggled with it, but came to realize that what they'd been brought up to believe was just not the truth.. the same stories are told over and over again, and they come from sincere, good people - not whiny, fault-finding apostates like the rest of us riffraff around here!

If I was a Bethelite monitoring this site I would take my findings to the GB and tell them why
many sincere individuals, many after years of faithful service are leaving because of the un-christlike
attitudes of those in positions of authority, they being the foremost. No doubt, I would then be promptly
called a faithless apostate, disfellowshipped and given 15 minutes to pack my bags and get the hell out
of dodge.

Do the Governing Body have a priviliged life style or not?
by Gill inhaving heard that ted jaracz is being flown out of state to consult a heart specialist, i started wondering what other luxuries the governing body of the wtbts enjoy!

Some consider it a priviledged lifestyle to have control of millions of dollars.
Others consider it a priviledged lifestyle to have control of millions of people.
The GB has control over millions of people and their millions of contributed dollars.
However, the dwindling of both forbodes the end of any percieved or actual priviledged lifestyle.

Personally, I found the site to be condescending to those interviewed, poorly veiled by derogatory humor.
Is the money made from the online store donated to the coalition for the homeless?
The site says it brings awareness to homelessness. For what purpose? To help them or make fun of them?
I think the latter.

The arrogant superior attitude of those with titles hidden behind fake humility.
The fact that we were to tell others to do things that we couldn't do.(question the origin of their religion and beliefs, etc.)
The phony smiles and imitation friendliness.
The do as I say and don't question me attitude of Brooklyn.
And their never being willing to say "We made a mistake and we're sorry."

The Watchtower and the UN--MY letters and Brochure--
by uninformed ini wrote the wt for a year before i was df'd over the wt-un/dpi-ngo deal.
i have all of my letters, the wt jerkoff letter back to me as well as a compilation of a simple little brochure, documenting that the wt was more involved with the un than for a library card.
if you would like to see and read it, i would like your feedback.

Their manner of response towards your inquiry reveals the teeth of a wolf hiding under a sheepskin disguise.
Their own book Draw Close to Jehovah, on page 117 paragraph 2 says,
"Jehovah didn't censure Habakkuk for his candid inquiry, for He is the one who instilled in humans the very concept of justice."
Yet censureship is one of their main methods of dealing with inquiries that expose their wrongdoing.
