WTS: its real patrons

do you believe that the wts is being protected assisted and guided by demonic powers despite their claim that they are strictly associated only with god and his spirit?

i personally think it is not a coincidence that many things happen in their favour it is for example the demons that fight the "apostates" to prevent them from damaging the wts by exposing their wrong doing.

they also help blind and mislead ppl to enter this destructive cult.

Ya know, I was thinking that a demon decieved me into becomeing a JW. So it is interesting to me that you bring up this topic. I think the WTS is under the influence of wicked forces. Why else would they not see the truth of crisis of consious? The info is there to show them that their doctrines are wrong. Why are they not listening if they care so much about the truth?

how else can a person justify that jehovah will destroy 6 billion people, innocent children included?

i could never accept that i deserved salvation whereas almost no one else did.

it put me on permanent spiritual edge because i thought the slave is right so the doctrine of destruction must be, but my heart always knew it was wrong.

Before I joined the JW religion. I remember having a piece of litrature from another religion that I would read oftenly. According to them all faithful servants of God prior to armageddon were taken to heaven to rule over the earth for a thousand years while the wicked remained on earth during the thousand year period.

I read the book of revelations alot. If I were you guys, I would not confuse biblical teachings with JW interpretations. I recall a verse that says the wicked repented and gave glory to GOD. Another verse something something torture, but kept alive. The people who God slaughters at the war of armageddon seems to refer to a large military on the verge of conquering Israel rather than every person living on the planet.

Also, the old testament says something about nations coming to Israel with gifts. If All rightous people were taken to heaven and all wicked destroyed at armageddon, then who are those nations bowing low to Israel after the time of the end?

Offhand, I'd have to say that Scientology and Islam are worse than the Dubs

The only thing I know about Scientology is that Tom Cruise is one of them. As for Islam, I get this nausiating feeling whenever I try reading their holy book -- the Koran. Its like I don't understand anything its saying even though its translated into English

.I'm sure there's hundreds of religions that we simply aren't familiar with, that are alot worse than ours.........

I hope not!!

I believe there are worst teachings out there, but the Jehovah Witnesses affects more lives and does way more damage than a normally small size cult could. GB has cult membership thats claims people by the millions. And certainly they false teachings would have led to more deaths than suicide cults.

I personally was negatively affected by their teachings long after I stopped attending their meetings. I stopped going to their meetings in the late 90's, but it wasn't until late December 2004 that I discovered they had dirty secrets( false predictions and sex abuse) and false teachings(too many to count). And I have only accepted within the last couple of weeks that birthday parties are not bad. And its only now within the last several days that I am realizing that the WTBTS really is a cult!

This message board has help me to see things more clearly. I think I am a better person because of it. I do think for showing me all of this.

have to answer your ? with a ? Have you ever explained witness beliefs to a friend of yours (not a witness of course)? I was telling a good friend of mine about how WT$ says its not good to go to college and his mouth literally dropped. Another note now that I am free of witness thinking I feel like an idiot every time I tell someone about witness beliefs. It is appaling that I used to take stock in such things as 144,000 going to heaven, the validation of the revelation cl;imax book and others.

Actually, College is the reason I stopped going to the meetings. At the time, I still had believed that the ORG was the truth, but I wanted to straighten out my life. All they seemed to care about was attending the meetings. They made me feel like s sinner for not coming to those meetings. However, I wanted to get a career started first. What is the scriptural reason for forcing people to attend 5 meetings, study their mags, and give talks on the stands?

At least I am out of there!

Oh yeah, I still have that climax book. When I read it after knowing the truth about the ORG, I wonder to myself "how on earth did I ever believe in this garbage?" According to the JWS Climax book, the book of revelations is all about them and their 20th century experiences. Such a self assuming teaching is GROSS.

i would just like to make a couple of points, and would be interested in responses to them.

I believe we should never give up questioning our own beliefs, as this is even more important than questioning other people's beliefs.

What do you think? The dubs condem all other denominations professing faith in Christ as apostates. They teach that christendom will suffer destruction as a part of Babylon the Great by the hands of God.

However, here is the thing. My recent findings suggest Jehovah Witness falsely interpret and bend scriptures out of context more than any other religion I have come in to contact with. Not to mention all the man made traditions that they hold on to. And its dawning on me like the Sun that they are the biggest hypocrits of them all. I am reminded of the verse about the guy who notices the splinter in his brothers eyes, but not the log in his own eye.

Could it be that the org cannot clean its own backyard because they are too busy fussing about everyone elses backyard?

so me and the guy i've been dating finally became offical since last night and its the first time in almost a year since i have been in a relationship.

and for once, i think i may have a winner.

but he is white...and 32...and plays the african drums..and teaches some weird dance in a school for kids having to do with cuban tribal dances..or something or other.

I can see how that can happen, but its against my beliefs to command or coerce someone into obeying biblical commandments. I believe such actions are unscriptural. I have dropped all my JW habits and reread the bible without their preinterpreated bias. I know alot of people on the boards have dropped religion which is understandable after the JW experience. I am not here to convert anyone. I am not currenttly part of any religion. I only study the bible in private. I am learning alot by being on these boards about myself. This board has actually helped me to understand to what effect I had been brain washed by the org. I found answers to some questions I needed answer and I hope I can do the same for others. And as a former JW, I feel some sort of connection with others who left the org. I think you guys(and gals) can understand me in ways other people who never joined org can. That is why I am here.

so me and the guy i've been dating finally became offical since last night and its the first time in almost a year since i have been in a relationship.

and for once, i think i may have a winner.

but he is white...and 32...and plays the african drums..and teaches some weird dance in a school for kids having to do with cuban tribal dances..or something or other.

Do you know this for a fact? Are you speaking from experience? This is actually a pipe dream, there is no data to support it, and is, most of all just opinion. In fact, even though its only PART of being a couple, the sexual compatibility is very important. Not everyone buys into that whole sex is sin business.
And all I can finish off with is, just be safe and enjoy!!

No one would give up sex because someone on cyber space told them to. It would be foolish to think otherwise. My goal was to incite laughter, not self rightous indignation.
