The so called love they have is superficial and totally devoted to the org. Loyalty to family and friends is on the surface only and you will get turned in and shunned if you don't follow the way of the body of elders. Recreation is controlled and get togethers are frowned on if they get to big. TOO MUCH CONTROL

by Corvin inthe organization of jehovah's witnesses boasts of having true brotherly love for one another.
i always believed they did, although i never felt it growing up in it.
i reckoned that there was something wrong with me since i never felt that "joy" and "spirit of love" that supposedly permeated the congregations.

Is Sponge Bob Square Pants, gay?

... well she is a little strange and very ultra christian.
she started telling me, that her church she goes too feel that sponge bob and patrick are portraying the gay lifestyle.

Friday was hell as the owner of the shop told me to be at work no matter what. He knows I am fighting this CA. and am going thru chemo. Saturday we were very busy and I just had a hard time dealing with everything. Jake is very protective of me and he is not dealing with this very well. I think if I just stop everything maybe all will come back to normal. He took me to a flea market which I love to do and I was assaulted by a redneck but he didn't know Jake is a former green beret and in good shape so he beat the hell out of him and the police arrested the nut that hit me and knocked me down. I guess I am ok and will go to the Dr. on tues. and have another dose of this crap of chemo. I guess I am just depressed and feeling terrible can I get through this?

Being in the auto repair business I couldn't agree more. Here is why. Most oil change places use bulk oil which is great but sometimes the regulators on the oil infulsion line are not calibrated and the tech doesn't check the dip stick. Also if you drive a Japanese car DO NOT USE PENNZOIL!!!!!!!!!! Here is why all oils have detergent in them but PENNZOIL has an ingredient in it that dissolves F.I.P.G. ( FILL IN PLACE GASKET) this is glue not a gasket. and pennzoil dissolves it and you develope oil leaks especially Nissa

It takes many years for closure if any at least for me. You have a thing inside you that loves family and friends. When you are raised to believe that the only ones you may associat with are in the org. You become very limited with social interaction. If you leave you are shunned and it hurts like hell. You must go on and develope new extended family and friends and consider them gone or it will absolutely tear you up mentally and you may turn to things to escape like alcohol or drugs or whatever keep your sanity as the org has over 100 years of experience of mind manipulation.

Thank-you All I am doing ok
by hambeak inas i have posted about getting colon ca and having surgery and now going through chemo, the stress on me for keeping up my responsibilities at work and keeping up a home.
here is an update.
i am doing ok and jake is finally doing housework as i just don't have the energy to do it.

Have You Been Divorced, Or Getting A Divorce?
by Outaservice indivorce is much more common in the jehovah's witness community than they would like to admit.
probably more so than the population in general in my opinion.. if you have been divorced, do you think that the watchtower society contributed to the divorce, or caused it, or is it just possible you married some jerk or abuser and divorce would have occured no matter what religion you were, or even if you had no religion?.
possibly you got married way too young as the end was coming and there is no marriage in the resurrection if you died.

Yes I'm divorced! The problem is You are not allowed to date because if you do you are expected to marry the one you are dating. At least that was the way it was in the 70's. Everyone I knew married very young and had no education or life experience. I believe this leads to unhappiness and children and poverty and lots of problems.
