I lurked for a few months before posting or starting a topic. I guess I had a LOT OF CONFUSION about a lot of things. Now it is much clearer. I still have some doubts about some of the things I read here ie: joining political organizations like the UN or the one in the Philipines. I guess when you are brought up believing a certain way with no room to question it is very hard and frightening to find things just might be different

Your early JWD days
by greendawn inwhat were your first experiences here or your first posts, and how did you feel as beginners here?
i was worried whether what i was writing could violate the posting rules or whether (as on other forums) there would be rude people that would discourage me.

Book study funnies - blood
by Zico inthe book study tonight was all about abstaining from blood.
the usual nonsense which we've all heard before, but i thought i'd share some amusing comments from the completely misinformed and delusional brothers and sisters there tonight.
i wish jwfacts, td or any of the other board blood experts could have been there tonight to hear this, now that would have made a good study!

Didn't anyone point anyone to a public library or the internet I enjoyed the post I think you take this and almost make a sitcom from it
It reminds me of the British sitcom about the department store with all the nitwits working there. lol

Did u want to leave the org bcause u were doing something immoral?
by Will2Power in..and then sought to justify your leaving the organisation/religion by researching websites like this (to salve your conscience, justify continuing in your pleasurable but unscriptural lifestyle), or did you sincerely leave purely because you discovered certain false teachings, scandals, etc, while still living a moral, christian lifestyle?
be honest now, i mean really honest.
(this is not meant to offend anyone but viewed like a survey).

Outlaw I believe you are right. As I look back most of them had some mental problems, looked to the org. as some kind of shelter. I know my immediate family is so totally disfunctional they don't even speak or get along anymore all collateral damage due to the wts brainwashing and phony lip service not true to anything but the org

MY SON WAS ATTACKED!
by Dansk inyesterday afternoon my older son, karl, who is studying musical production at brighton university, came round to see his family.
he had just been to see his pregnant girlfriend, who is staying with her mum and dad for a week.. karl is a wonderful boy; the type of son any parent would be proud of.
he is loving, considerate, respectful and has never once caused any trouble or been in any.

Useing Fear to Manipulatethe Brothers to by Parking Tickets Cow Palace SF
by frankiespeakin indo they still use the same fear inspiring annoncement to presure brothers not to park free on the street where they say is a high crime area and not safe, but instead are strongly encuraged to by a parking ticket from them and park safe in the patroled cow palace parking lots.
i used to hate reading and hearing this message being repeated so many time durring the sessions.

The WTS needs to stop using the cow palace and start using the oakland coliseum It is much nicer and I am sure probably cheaper than the cow palace. I remember going there and the place sucked. I also remember one year at the old Kezar stadium in golden gate park.
