Anyone remember the talk some years back "You are wonderfully made" Too bad many of the clones didn't catch the true meaning of unique.

Why the contradiction?
by JH injw's say that everything about us is in our blood and we are unique, and no one else's blood is exactly like ours.
so, they stress how unique we all are.
no one has the same dna as us.

Truth
by EternalLife inif those people are of some positive energy, they will see the light.
that is their free will choice.
as part of our ministry to those that oppose the truth, we point out that a humble heart is the only thing that saves anyone.

Welcome to the forum
Reading your post reminds me of a scene from the exorcist remember the priest "The power of Christ compells you" maybe when you receive your exorcism you will see the light and abandon brain washed ideas cuz nobody here can be brainwashed

by Amanda001 ini had no idea that i'd get so many responses!
basically, in my internet browsing, i stumbled across this site.
i think i was so upset by what i had found out about jw's, that i didn't really read other postings, and so i just had to write down what i felt as quickly as thoughts were coming into my head.

Are you really free from the Watchtower?
by yaddayadda inthe thread on how long it took you to get out of the organisation made me think.
i honestly think anyone that spends more than half an hour per day on anti-jw sites like this is, psychologically, not out of the organisation at all, despite their best protests.
the watchtower clearly still fascinates them to the point of an obsessive, compulsive need to frequently post on this website and others.

I've read most of the posts and I think everyone has a truly valid point. As some have stated when you have been a member of that org. as in my case over 30 years it leaves a brand on your psyche and doesn't go away easily. especially if you have been shunned by family or loved ones. so I will plagerize a line from a previous poster this is my methadone for the heroin addiction of organized controlling religion.

What Do You Think About The "Faithful&Discreet Slave Class"?
by minimus inthere are so many new posters here now, i think this topic should be revisited.
i believe the most ridiculous belief that witnesses have is a "slave class" made up of 144,000 give spiritual "food at the proper time".
why can't jws see thru this??

My grandmother was baptized in the early 1900's my mother in 1925 and both claimed to be anointed. I never ever heard them claim to be of the FDS only having a heavenly hope. As I recall that was for the GB I always had a problem that women were not allowed to teach in the cong. My mom had to show subjection to the elders in her cong. even though she was the only one for years that partook. When I was a teenager I thought I should partake and my mom scared the hell out of me by telling me if i partook I would be eating and drinking to my death.
Later in the late 70's and early 80's there was a surge of new partakers, never made sense to me.

There are no atheists in a foxhole

dividuals have become atheists seeing that at one time they.
professed a belief in god.. the intent is not to argue, debate, or incite to riot.

I find it interesting that most people believe you have to die in order to know God. For me just observing nature and the wonders of the universe prove to me their is something higher than man. I agree with one of the posters on this thread that Jehovah being portrayed as violent and sexist is wrong. John 4:4 says god is love. Then again the issue of right to rule, God vs. Satan.

Are we no different than JWs when it comes to expectations?
by undercover ini find it interesting that a lot of people who came out of the jw experience still have expectations of "big" things to come.. as ex-jws, we can quote wt publications and list references showing all the instances where the "end" has been predicted and we list all the failures of their predictions and hopes.. a lot of us use those failed expectations as a basis for no longer accepting the wts as god's organization on earth.. yet, a lot of people leave the jws, then become infatuated with the notion that the "end" of the wts or jws is imminent.. threads pop up from time to time about "how long can the wts last?
" or "what big changes are about to happen?
" etc.. when i read some of these, i'm reminded of jws and how they use the "evidence" of earthquakes, famine, disease and wars and reports of wars as "evidence" for the "end" being so close.. have we traded on "end times" belief for another?

I'm really not sure what to believe any more. I do believe in God and archeology has proven a lot of things in the Bible. However a lot of mans interpretation has been misleading.

I agree with Arthur. Can you imagine people you are raised by and with not following Pauls counsel to the corinthians that you can have the gift of healing the gift of prophecy etc and do not have love you are a sounding piece of brass? As the bible says love endures all things hopes all things etc. however being cold to ones loved one is NOT LOVE BUT INTOLERANCE AND HATRED SO THERE.

I can certainly relate to him as when my adult children found I had colon ca. they thought that they could get control of my affairs (financial) and my health care. I had to get an attorney to stop it. I never felt suicidal but was extremely depressed about it. Someday maybe his kids will realize hate and shunning is detestable.
