I am not to sure about gay women I think they tend to take things a bit more slowly. Traditionally gay men and gay women aren't usually socializing together. Some do and have great relationships but for the most part we are a mystery to each other.

As for gay folks it is the same really, some are shy and some are forward, unfortunately in most gay scenarios you go to places that gays frequent and that is usually a gay bar and when alcohol is involved good sense goes out the door. Sadly sex before introductions is the norm and that is why some gay relationships don't work out. Luckily for me I knew my partner for a while and dated and then we got together and that was over 20 years ago.

I think it is great now the guys know how it feels when someone might be persistent and you are not interested. Does she expect something because maybe she bought tickets to the theater or dinner? Times have changed. It is also great for someones self esteem when someone finds you interesting enough or good looking enough to want to be in your company so I say go for it.

What scary stories were you told?

i'll tell my story soon when it's not so hard to think about.. i'm just wondering what stories other people were told about demons that ensured that nobody watched scary movies or listened to certain music (in my case, stevie nicks, go figure).
elders and my friends' parents, and other kids in the congregation all had stories of people watching movies and waking up to see a demon in their room!

Who Will Be Celebrating Thanksgiving & XMas This Year???
by minimus infunny thing about jws----many celebrate thanksgiving but say they're only eating turkey with all the fixings by coincidence.
god made the food to be consumed everyday.
then you get witnesses who celebrate christmas the day before or after with all sorts of presents but they won't give it on the 25th because that day is pagan.

Interesting I would like to learn more of your experiences at Bethel. The cong I attended as a young man had several go to Bethel and they would come home on a visit and give a slide presentation but never spoke of life at Bethel.

The only way we celebrate is with a traditional holiday meal and a few gifts at xmas no decorations though. Would like to see a holiday party of ex dubs in the Dallas area though maybe at some restaurant on a saturday night. Any takers or ideas or suggestions?

NEWS---JW's are now telemarketing--True Story
by gordon d inmy uncle ( a very sweet man) is practically confined to a wheelchair... in recent years he has developed a renued emphasis on all things jdubery.
because of his poor health, he has a phone ministry from his home in the texas panhandle.
there are even a few other witnesses that have joined him in this.

Yes. Many years ago in CA. in my cong there was an elderly sister bound in a wheelchair and she started a letter writing territory, she really didn't have enough for postage and her handwriting wasn't that legible. So Bro Green the CO recommended a telphone ministry and getting out the phone book and start calling. If she had a good response she got the address and forwarded it on to one of the pioneers and it was somewhat successful. Actually a few became dubs because of it. She also actually made some worldly friends.

Is a Dead Bunny Funny?
by OUTLAW injust had a buddy up to the ranch.this is his story:.....a friend of mine saw his dog with a dead animal in his mouth covered in dirt..it was a dead bunny..not any dead bunny..this was the nieghbours family pet bunny..my friend was shocked and didn`t know what to do.he knew the nieghbours would get very upset that his dog had killed their pet bunny..the nieghbours weren`t home right now,so he came up with a plan..he cleaned the dirt off of the dead bunny and put it back in it`s pen and hurried home..a little while later,the nieghbours came home..a few days later my friend and his nieghbour had a chat..the nieghbour was angry and upset..the nieghbour said:"last week our family pet bunny died.the kids were upset and cried.so me and the mrs thought we`d have a funeral for the bunny with the kids and give it a nice burial..well,a few days ago,some sick bastard dug the bunny out of the grave and put it in it`s pen."..lol!
