A tribute to Moose

our basset hound moose died this morning.

he was only 2 1/2 years old but he had addison's disease.

something caused internal bleeding and he went very quickly, which was merciful.

My sympathies Chris and Nina and kids. I got to pet that sweet dog at your Haloween party and he truly was a gentle sweet dog. I know he will be missed.

What's your favourite food style?

i've been really into indian lately myself, but went to a decent jamacian restaurant the other day.. the reason i'm asking is because my wife and i decided that once a week we're going to try making something totally different together, kind of a way to spend time together and at the same time eating awesome food (if it turns out) other then going to a restaurant.

i'm kind of looking for different ideas of what to make.. kwin.

Your favourite place....

do you have a favourite place in the world...if so where is it, why and do you have photos?.

mine has to be nisyros (a very small greek island near kos); i last visited there some years ago and ever since i was captivated by its beauty and tranquility.

in short its a volcanic island but unspoiled by tourism; the people are amazing and so down to earth.. take a look.

Armstrong redwoods by the Russian river about 60 miles north of San Francisco. Very peaceful and serene there with trees 1000's of years old. and 20 minutes from Jenner by the Sea right on the Pacific Ocean.

How do I deal with my hatred?

i know that thousands of you have gone through the same thing i'm facing but right now it doesn't help.

i know that some of you have faced much worse - losing family through the blood issue or having to deal with abuse and i know that in comparison my problems may seem not so severe but as bad as it sounds knowing all that just doesn't matter right now.. it started yesterday and there's no stopping it, the official shunning.

one member of the family right now will see the month end with me losing my sisters, brother and my mum.. i love them and i know that in a sense they are victims too but i just cannot reach them.

Sorry to hear this I do understand I have been there and am there now.

Get rid of the hatred and anger. It will take time, make new friends. That is so important, because hatred and anger will deprive you of the true beauty in the world. Someday maybe they will change.

I try to live by this: Where there is life, there is hope, where there is hope. There may be change.

We are there for you.

2 Elders Tell My Mom That She Should Take Me Off Her Health Care Assistance

my elderly mom had 2 visits from the elders.

she requested hospital liason help because she frequently has been having to go to the hospital, her blood count is low and doctors have told her that because she's a witness, there are certain procedures that make it difficult to attend to her without blood.

when the elders visited her , they recommended that because i "could" decide to give her blood, that i should not be the first person called with rights to give her life saving treatments.

My partners' grandmother was also ill like your mom, The elders of her church got to her (non jw) and an attorney and got her to sign her entire estate to the Baptist church in Carlsbad NM.

So more is involved than just health care issues, I have seen posts on this board about the wts wanting people to leave their property to them.

Need Advice From Medical people on Seniors

i am writing a handbook for volunteers that will be volunteering in senior related areas.

one will be visiting seniors in convelescent hospitals and assisted living centers.. one will be visiting them at home bringing food, supplies, and doing home repairs.. for those of you who are seniors yourself can you tell me what your greatest needs have been?.

for those of you who work as nurses or cna's in these centers can you tell me what you would like to see volunteers do to help?.
