  PREACHING TO THE ANIMALS NOW....

  ok, someone sent me this and i just about pissed myself laughing.

  apparently, there's nothing abnormal about preaching to animals if you need to get those hours in.

  for most all of us here we have had association with the jehovah's witnesses in some way or another.

  there are many man-made "rules" within the organization.

  that fact we all agree on.

  Can you function w/o your cell phone?

  i went without my cell phone for a couple of days because i left it at my brothers house.

  he lives in another state and i had to wait for it to be overnighted to me.

  i could not believe how crazy i went without it.

  I too have a cell phone have had for years. I feel somewhat naked if I forget it at home or the office. However I firmly believe cell phone etiquette needs to be in place ie: not while driveing, not in a restaurant, the crapper, and you certainly don't need to yell and force others to listen to your conversation. I am not saying you do this I am just making a general statement

  GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!

  i cannot believe what i saw happen today at the store.. i was at wal-mart browsing various electronics and digital cameras and such, when i heard behind me, "brother hardy, how are you!"...

  first thing i thought was oh shit, they found me, and forgot my real name, or have me mixed up with someone else.. turns out, this disfellowshiped witness was there at the store and saw one of his congregation members there.

  now i personally have never been part of the shunning process myself, but here i am, an ex-jw watching from the other aisle, a bunch of shit that i never thought i would see the lights of day on.... the brother, this "hardy" i guess, looked up at the man with a smile, but then when he realized who it was, he immediately frowned and started pushing his shopping cart away looking straight ahead and not even acknowledging the man... (here's where i jump in..).

  No Tag At My Son's School....

  perhaps some of you have seen this on the news.

  my son's school has gotten national attention because the ban on tag.

  i went to the pto meeting and spoke with the principal.

  You can blame the lawyers and the courts for this as litigation with frivolous lawsuits permeate every faction of american life. Parents are quick to blame the schools and teachers for most everything. What ever happened to kids will be kids and get a few knocks in the growing up process?

  My only familiarity with Australia is from Crocodile Dundee.

  Not really lol. I am intrigued by the unique wild life there but all those poisonous bugs and that awful spider that is lethal. And the snakes YUCK! Is it true a lot of people have homes underground out in the outback
