I guess I'm the odd one here as I like Old Spice and Stetson. I agree Daystar about smell. My mom always wore I think it was called white shoulders. I hope I am not getting it confused with that dandruff shampoo. lol

Did demons ever really rape some sisters?

i had a conversation last night with someone and we were reminescing about the late 60's and early 70's about how a couple of the sisters were telling at the time that they were being molested and sometimes raped by demons.

in our cong they were told to open the bible to a certain scripture and leave the bible open to it at all times and leave a light on.

anyone else remember some of this paranoia?

Let me clarify Yes I believe it was a result of an over active imagination. In one instance a sister I personally knew (one of my teachers in Jr High) was terribley phisically abused by her husband an Air Force colonel.

Went to my first Halloween party

i was invited to my first halloween party with some ex jw's.

i was nervous at first at accepting but i never before had such a good time i am so glad i went.

I really don't celebrate the holidays but I do enjoy the social atmosphere and going to a few parties. I did celebrate christmas once. Tree and all but I was picking up pine needles for a year! Never again. BTW Welcome Back always enjoy your posts.

Trick or treat

or as its known in england "give us yer stuff or we'll egg you".. it really isnt the cozy friendly 'kids get dressed up and chat to all the neighbours nicely' that it is portrayed on american tv (remember the et scene?).

i know you guys across the pond love haloween but imo its awful here.

youth crime goes up by 20% in the uk around haloween.. our version is way more menacing.

Well I am going to my first halloween party ever with some ex dubs in the Dallas area and I am looking forward to it! I am going casual not dressing up as I am ugly enough lol. My partner doesn't want to go as he despises jw's as back in the early 90's he studied with them and read everything he could get his hands on and we almost split up over it and we both decided our relationship was worth more than being with that group. I am just so socially retarded from the jw organization I do great in business but as far as social affairs I am very shy because as a dub you can't socialize with anyone who isn't an active dub in good standing and then it is controlled.

I can be true to myself and not be afraid of the cong. elders or their diatribde and control.I wish I could sue them for the crap they laid on me and my family. I am much more bold now no fear at all and tell them go to hell. So There. lol
