Deprogramming kids when JWs came knocking

so i had my two daughters with me this weekend (their jw mom has them the next one) and it was saturday morning around 10am and i said let's have a short "daddy school" on how to do research on the internet.

so they were plopped on each side of me and my laptop and i was inbetween and was showing them how you can type in "jehovah's witnesses" or "watchtower society" and get lots of vids off youtube on these things and that they can always do their own research if they have any questions on the things they hear at the kh when their mother takes them.. so we were watching one and right then there was a knock at the door and it was two teenage jw girls (from a neighboring cong) offering the magazines... very funny!

my oldest got rid of them and they were giggling and laughing about how weird it was that they would show up right then.. the jws are popping up everywhere in my life lately, ie, at the store, at the mall, at the gym, etc.

Funny, JWs are showing up far less in our life than ever before. So maybe it does get better!

You northerners don't get it. The reason it's so cold down here is one day it's 85 degrees and the next it's 40. So yeah, it feel friggin cold as balls. I lived in a couple of cold weather states and unless it got into the teens there I didn't feel like it was all that cold. You guys have actual seasons and they gradually change. Not the case down here.

A milestone for my Grandson, David

david turned 18 yesterday.

(he is the one who walked from orlando, fl to washington, dc a little over 3 years ago on behalf of homeless children) i wrote about that on the forum back then.

what i didn't write about is that david has grown up without a father....not because he doesn't exist, but because his father has chosen to live his life of drugs and violence.

That's awesome. He looks like he's got his life and himself together. And way to stand up to a deadbeat a**hole excuse for a "father".

Anybody else similarily immature like me and break stuff occasionally when angry?

i'm currently without a cellphone after reading a text message that made me play twist and internally shout with my cell phone.

been a while since i did something this retarded but it did feel good and natural at the time.

i went to bestbuy for a new phone and decided i dont want to talk with anyone right now anyway.

I've never understood that. NEVER gotten angry when drinking but I guess I'm too much of a nice guy lol.

Do yourself a favor. Get out of the Borg! You'll be LESS stressed, LESS anxious, get BETTER sleep, have REAL relationships with people, and probably be LESS angry.

If we deny those smaller aggressive tendencies within us, they will build and manifest in more bizarre, dangerous and perverted ways. Perhaps this is what's happened to you. I know it's the case with other things such as sexuality, when repressed breeds perversion.

in those verses, jesus is referring to his coming as judge during the great tribulation.matthew 24:30; 25:31, 32.. jesus appointment of the slave over his belongings, then, must also be a future event.
