yesterday, i saw a picture of a family signing kingdom melodies together.

it made me realize a fact that i am somewhat ashamed to admit:.

for over a decade, i have been aware of the false prophecies, the deceptive statements, the lack of scriptural support for many core practices and other issues with the witnesses.

I was on the fence but the songs were also almost the final nail in the coffin for me the final one being the overlapping generation nonsense. I told my elder jw father that i felt like all the joy and life had been sucked out of the songs. Of course the excuses made(repeatedly at meetings) were not that yes, the songs sucked it was of course the rank and file just was the problem and wasnt used to singing them.

Can anyone going attest that the dubbies have gotten better at singing these piles of garbage?

Well, we appreciate this real life "Johnny the bethelite's" efforts. Sadly truth is not as glamorous as fiction, but the reality is an older man with little or no social security is kicked out later in life to fend for himself. I wonder how many times this happens before people go postal.

my second chat with an elder focused on the lack of any archaeological evidence that the exodus happened.

quite simply it seems to me that a company of 3 million plus livestock could not possibly be sustained in the wilderness, and if they were there then there would definately be evidence.

one writer described the size of the crowd as - imagine 10 people stood side by side, well the line would be 120 miles long with a 3 million crowd.. the elder went through the insight book and discussed the organization of the crowd which has the encampment spread into divisions etc.

I also recall this idiotic "resolution" and my ex at the time was bothered by it as was I. She barely heard what it was and felt angry that she was expected to just agree to something when she didn't know what she was agreeing with.

i happen to see jws a lot while visiting my mom.

they don't go there with me, which works well for all concerned..

It's weird, when I was in, I used to run into them all the time at places other than the KH. Now it's an extreme rarity to see them even working our street is a rarity. Do they ever go out anymore except to push tracts?
